No idea about the PS3 remote, but that is quite strange that COD4 wouldn't work... your Mac exceeds all of the minimum specs... can someone else enlighten me? The HD 5670 is more than enough, the Core i3 > Core 2 Duo, and the RAM is fine. Your iMac should be able to run both COD4 and FIFA...

I tried playing with my MBP 13 (2.7 GHz i7, 8GB RAM, HD 3000 graphics) but it kept freezing up on me

it runs ok on my MBP 13 2011.

but can't make the ps3 controller work properly. and can't even play correctly on keyboard. any idea?

Plays great on my 2011 13" MBA, with lowest res and quality.. but there seems to be a graphical glitch or some sort for the pitch.. sometimes it changes to smooth, sometimes it's rough.. really weird.. anyone have the same issue?

Follow these instruction to get the Xbox 360 controller to work perfectly, I finally found it on a German website.

Replace: Users / myusername / Documents / EA / FIFA 12 /buttonDataSetup.ini

with this file http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KKTVEII4

and the controller is mapped out perfectly.

RT and LT both work and X A and Y are properly changed. Let me know if it worked for any of you or if you need any help.

You already have to be using a 360 controller driver obviously, and I'd recommend:
http://tattiebogle.net/index.php/ProjectRoot/Xbox360Controller/OsxDriver

And I've been messing around with Fifa for a while on my base 13 2011 MBA. I'm able to play on high with MSAA at x4, though I usually just play on medium quality and no MSAA settings and I have no problems whatsoever. I wasn't able to fully get a PS3 controller to work, but I think through tinkering to get the xbox controller to work I may have figured it out. If anyone would like me to try to get a PS3 controller, just let me know.

It works perfectly with Logitech F310 and F510 gamepad controllers. Considering the F310 can be had for less than $30 and IMO feels better than my ps3 controllers - its not that bad. Both controllers are plug and play with Fifa12 on mac, all you need to do is flip the controller over, and move the physical switch from X to D. No drivers to install.

If you want to try a wired ps2/ps3 controller, try "ControllerMate". Should be easy enough to map all the buttons and sticks to something acceptable. (Or perhaps there is a variation on the above xbox 360 controller mod that you can do also?). Im yet to bother with my ps3 controller with fifa for mac - but I have got it working in other games using ControllerMate.

Wow, I think I underestimated the power of the MBA once again.. playing at native res with high and MSAA 4x is perfectly playable.. (if using tele camera)..a little stutter sometimes, but good fps..

Help needed

Hi! I've installed official Fifa 2012, and I'm using a XBOX controller. Also downloaded the drivers and the patch pezasied182 posted yesterday.

I run it on an 13' MBP early 2011.

But when I quit Fifa and unplug the controller, the trackpad and keyboard stop working and all I can do is force shut down. Apps keep running, but there's no more trackpad and keyboard.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Are you running Lion?

I've noticed on my Air, if I plug in an Xbox controller and unplug it, that same thing happens to me occasionally, but more frequently my Air will not wake from sleep. I think (I'm like 99% positive) it is because of the driver (tattiebogle) used to run the Xbox controller. It might be because it isn't fully Lion compatible since the last update for the driver was back in February, well before Lion came out. I know that the driver has to modify the plist file to work, and maybe that is why there are problems. It isn't Fifa, I can recreate it at all just by plugging in the controller, unplugging it, and putting my Mac to sleep. I emailed the creator of the driver last night and haven't heard back from him yet.

Yes, I'm running Lion (10.7.1), and it happens everytime I unplug the controller. I've figured out a way to "solve" it. When I finish playing, open Activity Monitor, force quit "360Daemon" and then, unplug the controller. But, as "360Daemon" is the driver itself, If I want to play again I've got to reboot.

Thanks!

Thanks pezasied182! I've deleted the whole driver and reinstalled version 0.8. No more keyboard/trackpad issues!

Good to hear, have you been able to play a game online yet? I tried like twice and both times it couldn't find a game.

Hello there,

Did you solve the freezing problem by downgrading tattiebogle 0.08 ? Or are you talking about an another file? On the tattiebogle site that version is written as "pending". If its that can you let me know so that I can also try it out.

Thank you

Yes, played about a dozen times. Try with the default settings, specially with 6 mins per period, I changed that once and couldn't find any player. when I put it back to 6 mins worked like a charm.

Hello there,

Did you solve the freezing problem by downgrading tattiebogle 0.08 ? Or are you talking about an another file? On the tattiebogle site that version is written as "pending". If its that can you let me know so that I can also try it out.

Thank you

Yes, I've downloaded the 0.08. You can download it here

In case you have a recent version installed, do this first:
1. Remove the following files from your system(installed by v0.09 or v0.10)
/System/Library/Extensions/360Controller.kext
/System/Library/Extensions/Wireless360Controller.kext
/System/Library/Extensions/WirelessGamingReceiver.kext
/Library/PreferencePanes/Pref360Control.prefPane
/Library/StartupItems/360ControlDaemon

2. Open Install360Controller.pkg v0.08 (right click>show package contents) and in

Install360Controller.pkg/Contents/Info.plist
and
Install360Controller.pkg/Contents/Resources/Install360Controller.info

change the following things

OverwritePermissions (change text from "no" to "yes" or from "false" to "true" depending on what word is already there by default)

AllowBackRev (change text from "no" to "yes" or from "false" to "true" depending on what word is already there by default)

Save these files. (You may need to set the R/W permission to Install360Controller.pkg/Contents folder)

3. Now run the .8 Install360Controller.pkg. The installer should give you a warning that a newer version is installed on the drive. However, you will be able to hit "continue" to install the older version. The installer will finish with an error. But don't worry. It should have installed the .8 version anyways. You can verify this by seeing if the Pref360Control panel is installed.

Good luck!

I've done all this and yet it wouldn't let me install the 0.8pkg as it says that a newer version already exists... help please? Thanks

cool thanks a lot :p does anyone know whether the 0.08 works with the newest 10.7.2 Lion update? It'd be so annoying if the new update crashes it...

Great choice !

Great choice ! All information provided was accurate. Lion & Lion provide the best service in affordable price. It is my pleasure to write a reviews and make others to use their service.
