can i play FIFA 2012 on MAC BOOK black, is it compatible for mac book black ..??

No, sorry.

"Most notably, the game won't run on the Intel GMA 950 or X3100 video cards."

The last black Macbooks had X3100 graphics, so I think you're out of luck.

Played it on my mac pro and mbp, yet the graphics and editing options are severely limited so resorted to bootcamp. Wonderful play and feel.

Wow, that's cool! Haven't played this for a long time! I guess it'll run perfectly on Mac.

For those without a controller that want a simple plug and play solution. Grab something like the Logitech F310 - which can be had for about $15 (if you shop around), and IMO feel more comfortable than a PS3 controller by a mile.

Not only does it work perfectly in the latest FIFA without doing anything special (other switching the toggle switch on the back to "D"), it works perfectly in any other Mac (and Win) release that support controllers - like Batman Arkham Asylum etc.

There are some great Mac ports out now, Fifa and Batman included. Just wish that Ubisoft would learn a thing or two from EA and Feral - their Assassins Creed ports have been amongst the worst yet.

Hey mate,

I can't get the logitech f310 to work properly even when switched on "D". All the buttons are messed up and some don't work. Could you pleaseeeeeese help me out..?

Thanks in advance!

Has anyone tried this on a MacBook Pro mid 2010 core 2 duo 2.4GHz 4GB RAM and GeForce 320M 256mb Shared vram?

If anyone could let me know it would be much appreciated. I don't mind getting it on windows and running it through bootcamp.

Also do the XBox 360 controllers work on the windows version fine?
Cheers

Thanks for this, it seems to work 99%

The only problem I still have is that right stick down
(pressing it down like a button, not the direction down)
doesn't work

Everything else is perfect

Any ideas?

Hi,
I play FIFA2012 on mac with Logitech F510, I want to buy second game pad.
I was wondering is F510 and Xbox 360 wired controller is good set?
Or should I go for F510 and F310? (F510 has vibrations but aren't supported in FIFA thats why F310 casue it's cheaper).

Thx,
Jack

Gamepad for FIFA 12

Hi guys,

I'm just new with Mac, just bought my first one. Could anybody please recommend me a good gamepad compatible with FIFA 12 and other games?

I was thinking about Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2, does it work well on a Mac?
I've read it doesn't rumble on a Mac, is there some other gamepad supporting this feature at all? (Xbox 360, etc.?) I would like to have a cordless gamepad.

If there is something better than Rumblepad 2 please tell me :)

Thank you very much!

The XBox 360 controllers work alright if you have one around and don't want to spend any money. I've been using it with a PS2 Emulator and trying to use it with FIFA. They're a bit of a pain, so if you're really new to Mac, it may be out of your depth (or just really ****ing annoying: took me about 3-4 hours total to get everything running with all of this, and I'm very much used to Mac).

I'd see what your local gaming shop has to say about it if you hear no good suggestions from here.

Salud!

I actually don't have any controller for the moment, just thinking to buy one. Does the Xbox 360 make a feedback on a Mac? If yes, which version should I buy - a PC one?

And another question: does the FIFA 12 run on Mountain Lion?

Yep, FIFA 12 runs on Mountain Lion, except I still cant get the gamepad controls configured just right. Always some random button thats off. First tried with PS3 wireless over bluetooth. Starts out fine when you have everything configured but inevitably the buttons go crazy after a few minutes of play. Most recently tried Xbox wired, much better response but even after installing the correct drivers for the controller, the in-game buttons remain wonky. Tried configuring the xbox controller with JoystickMapper, but the in-game settings seem to override it. And the right stick doesnt work at all, even with that button settings .ini file. Any solutions?

The only thing I had to do was use the tatie boggle drivers. Is that what you're using?

yes, thats what i'm using. And all controls worked like Xbox controls straight off the bat for you?

Yes. If I recall, someone suggested to use an older version of the drivers because the new ones can be flaky. Unfortunately I can't check to see what version I'm using because I'm out of town at the moment. I probably read that around here, maybe in the Xbox 360 controller thread.

ok, I'll dig around there and see what I can find. Are you using the modified .ini file as well?
