I can assure you the case has never been wet or moist. Vaja claims that the discoloring is simply dirt, from rubbing to another fabric (I carry the phone in my leather Mulberry briefcase).

I can further assure you I NEVER used it abnormally. Can send you pics of all my other cases, which are still like new.....The phone is either in my case or on my desk, nothing else. The cover should be able to cope with that, it is not a museum piece.

In my view it is simply a design error: wrapping thin and delicate leather around a hard plastic case is asking for problems, in particular around the sensitive corners....
 
I agree with you It could be thin cheap leather but on looks alone it looks like water/sweat damage. So I get their response.

Hopefully others will chime in with the same issue then you can push back on vaja.

The only issue I ever experienced with them is that some colors fade.

Other than their stuff is bulky and their delivery time too long.
 
I've had a couple of Vaja cases, the last one on my 5S. They have both been of exceptional quality. The craftsmanship was superior to other cases I owned.
