Oh my both have done that!... Current Arguments with apple.

Also said due to 3 months of issues I Would like to be upgraded to the 2.9Ghz cpu for all my inconvenience.

You would think that Apple would be able to narrow the sleep/wake issues. My 2015 never had these problems, nor my MacBook. Only the 2016... We're what? 3 point releases into the new MacBook Pro and still no fix? Not good.

Exactly My old machines had no issues what so ever and the cosmetics and all were bang on.

What has happened in the past 2 years has me baffled!

I honestly don't know what the problem could be. I had a couple of the 13" Models of the 2016 as well, and had nothing but problems with them. One of them failed to install 10.12.3 right out of the box and had to be wiped completely. Not a good look. So I'm crossing my fingers that this 15" continues to work.

One thing I do find strange is that doing a search for "watchdog" yields nothing but old results. Watchdog being what Sierra reported as the problem with the machine waking from sleep. Tomorrow (17 April) is my final day to return or exchange the machine. . I have a really hard decision to make. What other option is there though? I'd have a really hard time going to the 2015 from this.

I agree same predicament.... If they give me a perfect one with the CPU upgrade i'll be happy.

you also have had the hard run also...

While that may be true, I never had metal shards coming out of the exhaust vent *checks*.. Nope, never have. Let us know how it turns out.

very disappointing info indeed. I have a 2015 15 maxed out and absolutely have had zero issues with it. (hoping i am not going to after saying that.....) I have toyed with the idea of getting a 15inch with the touchbar because of the form difference and the fact it has the fingerprint. I can't say i want to after reading the issues and how well my 2015 still blazes.

Yeh, It's a hard choice!. Currently Deciding if I should spend the extra 320 on the new replacement for the 2.9 But I do not think It is worth it.

To be honest if it wasn't for what you can see in the second image I'd have probably kept it. Hopefully the next one is better.
I used to say that nothing is perfect and to live with the imperfections, but given Apple's marketing this as a premium machine and the price, I expect a premium experience and product for that premium price. I'd take that back in heartbeat.

They are denying me a replacement even tho it's under 14 days as cosmetic isn't a issue! Now apparently. I'm done and seeking legal advice.

Better yet blaming me!

Bummers :(

Good luck in getting this resolved.

I got it resolved after much anger and proving them wrong with their own paper work.
I sometimes think that it might help Apple's support advisers if the cases they dealt with displayed to them the value of the product in question. I'd imagine most of them have no idea you spent the best part of £3000 (or more), and if they knew, would be more understanding.

Yeh close to 5.5k aud. I just wanted to reach to through phone and beat them silly.

Usually Apple are very good with customer service, maybe you should put in a complaint further up the chain.
I have and spent 2 months with all these issues and contacts.

This will be the last mac that I buy. I have also had the company pull the Apple contract after this ordeal. sadly this has not been limited to me but many other machines. we have had so many lies and screw arounds we are all over it.

Did you check if you have nigh-shift on? And also, could you let us see the cosmetic damages

I do not use night shift.

Machine fresh re-install same issues, calibration using sensor same thing, using inbuilt calibrations same thing, external screen fine also get graphical glitching.

It's back in the box don't want to use it.

So can't be getting photos but it's the usual chips and paint missing.
