The ATT, T-Mobile and Verizon phones are all the same model. Once unlocked, they will work on any carrier except Sprint. They also have the same bands (due to the same model). The Verizon phone comes unlocked regardless if bought full price or not. My ATT phone was unlocked via a web service ($100 :( )

Case in point, my phone is an ATT phone and it is on my Verizon account - the "registered IMEI" only means it is listed as "NON-VZW DEVICE" on their website, they still accept it on the network. This is due to LTE and is not the same for CDMA ONLY devices.

For an iPhone 6? Wow, I can get that done for less than half of that.

edit- nevermind, they've raised their prices since then.

The day of release, the cost jumped to 100 for 6/6+. They checked the IMEI so you couldn't submit as a 4S/5/5S for the cheaper cost.

I have the unlocked Japanese version and it's model A1586. The box says it supports CDMA, GSM, TD-SCDMA, UMTS, and LTE both FDD and TD. Is this the same as the Sprint model? I've used it in Japan with all three major carriers and in the ROK and Hong Kong so far without any issues. Really glad I got unlocked this time.
That's what I've heard (same as the Sprint model). The only difference between it and the Sprint model is that the Sprint model is locked and cannot be unlocked for domestic (US) use.

What did that cost you? Where did you purchase it?

They have the international version unlocked all over Amazon.com....they pop up everytime I look at cases for my iPhone 6  so tempting to order one of the numerous handsets that are being sold out of the UK...good prices too, not nearly as expensive as I would expect...at least for the regular iPhone 6 international...honestly though the international version isn't needed even in the EU unless your carrier explicitly uses TD-LTE but most carriers are running FDD LTE on 800/1800/2600 primarily and all iPhone 6's support that...of course if you end up in China you won't get LTE at all (but they plan on using FDD LTE in the future as well). Overall regardless of which iPhone you get your getting every FDD LTE frequency band you'll ever need and most carriers running TD-LTE have or plan to use FDD LTE adjacent to it...TD-LTE is often used as sort of a high capacity cell site when combined with FDD-LTE....TD-LTE isn't as good when it comes to longer range cell sites since the time slots need to be adjusted for long distances while FDD LTE is better for distance and symmetrical uplink and downlink speeds....

Despite Apple's claims, CDMA is enabled on the T-mobile and AT&T 6 and 6 pluses. I've used mine on Verizon with no problem.

true, but this is a hit or miss, Verizon may or may not activate a non verizon phone on their network, it depends where you go to do this i've heard
