Hey guys I’m really not sure what to do.. I finally scratched my AWU screen and I can’t get over it.

Should I try and see if I can bring it back to Apple?

How is everyone else’s screens holding up

Even with some direct lighting it is hard to notice. I would not care at all. Best case scenario, your OCD would be cured if you have it.

I'd put a Spigen glass screen protector on it and call it a day. It should effectively mask the scratch, only adds a nearly imperceptible amount of thickness and will prevent others from occurring.

That said, the sapphire glass on the Apple Watches is pretty darn scratch-resistant as you know, so odds are low of getting another unless you're in rough environments.

I just received my Ultra 2 as an upgrade from my S7 Stainless. While I never used a screen protector on any of my prior Apple Watches, I somehow felt compelled to put one on my U2. I selected the Spigen 'Glas tR'. If someone had given it to me like this, I would have never known it was there.

Cant imagine how that happened. I have an old watch 4 SS and the glass is pristine. Only reason I go for SS is the screen, couldn’t be doing with scrachable aluminum watch. Also, i dont treat the watch at this stage with any much care. The case is scratched to %*ck.

Can you actually FEEL the scratch with your fingernails? Cause it could be just the oleophobic coating…

Mine is still like new and it has been knocked, banged and dropped many times over the past seven months or so. Why anyone would advise someone to buy a new watch over a cosmetic mark is beyond me.

I've been shocked by how the Ultra held up to some very tough use and accidents. Most notable to me is the fact that after four or five drops from waist height or higher onto the stone floor in the bathroom you literally can't see any cosmetic damage, much less anything more serious. I will say that I'd expect that if you got out a 10x or greater magnifier you could probably find quite a few marks, but there were probably quite a few even right out of the box. If I can't see it with unaided vision I'll give it passing marks.

so scratch confirmed - had that happening on my S4 SBSS, which I got replaced under AC+ for other reasons.

I upgraded my Ultra to Ultra2, loving it ;)
Any difference noted in battery life with the new SIP and slightly larger battery or is it pretty much the same?
