Any difference noted in battery life with the new SIP and slightly larger battery or is it pretty much the same?
its better, today, after 25 hrs of continuously wearing, incl 75 minute workout yesterday, it's at 70% whereas Ultra would be in low 60s, but too soon to really tell

Totally hear you. Ive been toying with th idea of wether an updrade would be justified. I also am quite active with workouts so the battery life gains is always something i want.

Upgrade from Ultra to Ultra2? That what I did, was going to get the orange ocean band regardless and with Apple trade in of $380 (get to keep band and pick) I jumped for it. From what I’m seeing so far, worth it to me.

I can't say I get the obsession with worrying about scratches on smartwatch screens. These things have a limited life and are depreciating on our wrists by the day. The Ultra is a dive/sports watch and will ultimately show signs of wear and tear when its being used for its purpose. If it is pristine by the time you have finished using it, its probably been a desk diver that has been worn for its appearance rather than what it was designed for.

The crystal glass on the ultra is scratch resistant, but not scratch proof, try putting on a spigen easy fit tempered glass screen protector on it, it might cover the scratch so that it’s not noticeable if not, it will at least protect the watch from further scratches
