I used that facility this morning to try to locate a store (Cingular/AT&T) anywhere near a desert location I use for some employees, and it was not able to locate a Cingular location I KNEW existed within 50 miles of either of two zip codes I entered (one of which has a non-corporate Cingular retail store in it).

When I manually entered the city the known store was in, it was able to find it.

I went to AT&T manually after the Apple website made mention of it, but failed to provide a link despite the partnership agreement they have.

Let's just say they have some kinks to work out to really properly service customers.

That is too funny that Find-a-store is gone for now. I'm sure that Steve is helping them find more bandwidth. Do you think Steve is doing a Napoleon Dynamite impersonation: "idiots, gosh!"

It came back up a little while ago and I was finally able to map out the closest at&t stores. 1/2 a mile isn't bad. :) It certainly saved me the time of having to call every cingular store in the city. Now, to successfully purchase one.:apple:
