So, with series 2 getting GPS, do you think that we'll have a find my Apple Watch feature? Granted, it would require WiFi.

How does GPS help (rhetorical) since if it is connected to a known WiFi then its relative location would be known anyway?

    GPS would refine the location.

Just kind of messing with you since you seem to have been here when this was originally discussed in 2015 with the original :apple:Watch. After much debate the general consensus as to way Apple didn't add Find was:

iPhone is not attached and in and out of our hands dozens of times every hour. We set it on tables, in desks, on shelves, hand to other, etc. and we don't pay that much attention to it until we want to use it (it's ubiquitous). These means we have literally 100's of opportunities each day to misplace, forget or have it stolen.

:apple:Watch is strapped to your wrist. Most people put it on in the morning and don't remove it until they are back home. The few people that do remove it during the day only do this once or maybe twice and are well aware of what they are doing since it is rare event.

One feature I wish existed "just-in-case" is ability to "ping" your watch from the iPhone like you can ping your iPhone from the watch. It is entirely possible scenario that your watch falls to ground because the strap opens (or breaks or something) without you noticing it. As far as I know the only way to make the watch make any noise from iPhone is to adjust the watch's notification alert volume, but that is just one "click" sound.

My son is special and it would be nice to have a feature that would tell me his location, as he roams sometimes when he's at a theme park. So, I guess what I really want is a Find my Friends feature based on Apple Watch. I mistakenly titled this as Find My Apple Watch.
