Just saw this video… It’s not looking good

yikes smh really a shame, apple leather cases were my go to and now i don't know what to do. the silicone cases fall apart and are overpriced for what they are, and the typical plastic cases dont have as nice a feel as the leather. I'll shop around for third party leather options

yeahh i was literally on nomad's site now. The case looks great, only thing holding me back is the side edges are regular tpu - so when you handle the phone your fingers aren't fully grasping the nice leather bits. The feel of it therefore might end up being similar to regular tpu cases.

Curious if others that have had the nomad cases can speak on whether thats the case. Part of why i liked the apple leather cases is for the warm feel of the leather in hand, not the looks of it. Wish nomad didn't use a mix of materials

I had one briefly. Too chunky and I didn’t like the 2pc design of leather and TPU

thank you! exactly what i was concerned about.

looks like mujjo has what would most closely match apple's leather cases

i will likely take my chances with this one. Looks clean, although i could do without the branding on the bottom lol

My my, looks like I may be getting a refund on mine.
Alas, I will at least be able to test the case for myself. Maybe, just maybe, it is not as bad as some are making it out to be...
Yea always good to test it out for yourself and your usage patterns etc

Good that Apple offers a 14 return window so no stress for all

I think I am going to give this FineWoven an honest shot. If that line shown in the youtubers review can simply erased by brushing the nape in the opposite direction his integrity should be shattered for reviews going forward. I have a taupe one arriving tomorrow so I'll finally get some hands one impressions but I also feel like many cases feel cheap when there is no phone in them. I'd be curious about any hacks to make them less lint magnets (if they end up being such). I heard one person say scotch guard it but my luck I will actually do that and it some how permanently alters some magsafe property. Then I'd go online to trouble shoot and fine some long post where everyone talks about how terrible it is do that and "anyone" should have known that was a "stupid idea."

If do abandon this FineWoven I think my next stops are either leather (bullstrap, belroy, or nomad) or plastic (caulable maybe?).

But, seriously, I wonder if it is one of those where you merely swipe in the opposite direction, and the mark disappears. Like with suede or alcantara...

Right? It's telling that he didn't show what would happen if you did. I'm ignoring the video because the thumbnail is such trashy clickbait. Not a reliable source, imo.

A case isn't a museum piece, and if it picks up a few marks or scratches, I couldn't care less. That it's not happening to my phone is all that counts.

Finewoven looks good enough to me, and no other case beats the colour of that blue of mulberry.

It doesn't. Right before returning it I tried scraping it with my nail and swiping back the other way. The mark was still there.

There are some people dying on the hill of the FineWoven case being good, and I have no idea why. If it is because of the environmental impact of this case vs the leather case, that is the incorrect approach. Abandoning this abomination of a product doesn't mean Apple can't make a better alternative.

It's shocking that people are projecting the end is nigh because of an Apple product. I don't use leather, and have always used Apple's silicone cases, but I'm willing to give FineWoven a chance. I don't intend to run my nail down it, and don't keep it in my pocket with keys, so I think it will be fine. I think the prices for both this and silicone are ridiculous, but I have found the Apple cases are the thinnest and lightest cases, so I've always gone for them.

Well how about the fact I already gave it a chance and it is crap. I think that makes my review more meaningful than your self-admitted guess!
