Fingerprints 3Gs v 4

My Dad just got a iPhone 4 (First in family). I've noticed that the screen picks up a lot more fingerprints compared to my 3Gs. I tested it with the same stickiness fingers. Anyone else?

It's glass, not plastic, stands to reason that it will pick up more.

No, the ONLY iPhone that had a plastic screen was the prototype shown at the first media event in 2007. But Apple changed it to glass before the first model was sold.

Every iPhone sold to consumers has had a glass screen.

It's just light, thin glass. Not thick enough to sound like glass when you tap it, but it's still glass.

Wipe the screens down both with the same cleaner and then try to test the fingerprints.

That's what I did and the iPhone 4's fingerprint was much more visible.

That due to the "Retina" display. It give you a higher resolution finger print. 😀

i've never had a problem with fingerprints on any of the iphones, now the ipad on the other hand is a different story that gets covered with them.

I've seen a 3gs front shatter, definitely glass 🙂
