I don't get why people hate on FireFox, its just as good as Chrome or Safari. In fact, I favour it because it does not require me to log-in into my account and record my whole browsing history to sell me ads. It is also made by non-profit which means they have no malicious intentions except providing a good browser for the people.

We should all support free open-source software.

The upcoming revamp of FireFox may be a hit. The current FF is not flat enough. Retire that old icon too with a flat one.

It's not hate!

It's not as good as Safari, if that's the case more people would use it.

Open source software is OK though.

I use FF exclusively on PC but on a Mac it's still so jittery including the latest version. I can't seem to figure out why it hangs every few seconds even while browsing Yahoo front page...No go for me yet on MacOS but maybe ver. 57 will be better as mentioned above.

I use to love Firefox until the black screen issue where the browser would just black out on every page forcing you to restart it.

New Logo on Nightly. (in the dock and in Applications)

Love it! Very Zen.

Strange that auto update isn't triggering an update on my end (running 54). I downloaded and installed 55 manually and I get spinning beachball left and right. Perhaps that's why auto update isn't trigger the update?

Same here. Had 52.x. Was not finding any updates. Finally, after several days 54.x was downloaded and installed. Still no sign of 55.x.

Curious, even with the poor performance of FireFox on your Mac, do you still use it? There's many browsers to choose from. Vivaldi is a pretty good candidate.

As for Yahoo front page... I was going to immediately assume that the web page was the culprit, but I see that they'd cleaned it up and "lightened" it from past versions. Haven't been to Yahoo in years.

I ended up using Safari mainly on the Mac because of how great the scrolling was, FF is a substitute along with Chrome if needed. At work I'm FF all day.
