Firefox/Safari and ESPN

Arg This is so annoying! I haven't yet tried with Safari, but with the newest Firefox 2.0 and the 3.0 beta, they both freeze when trying to load ESPN.
This started yesterday afternoon.
And so I stopped visiting ESPN on my computer (after a reboot), and it just happened again on CBSnews while I was trying to watch some video that required flash. And now it keeps happening even when trying to go to that CBSnews site and play the video.
THe CBSnews site in question is this one:

And it freezes when you try to play one of those flash videos on the left side.
Have there been any fixes found yet?
EDIT: just tried loading ESPN in Safari and it crashed as well. Camino seems to be doing it also. It seems like every browser on my mac can't load ESPN.

I have the same issue on my mac homepage is espn on safari I dumped the prefs to just be able to use safari. works on my iPhone luckily. since the is no flash
