Wow that is impressive. Has it changed your health since you are working out or moving quite a bit everyday?

(I'm not the OP, so I can't speak for him)

When I was more active, I was healthier and felt better overall.

Now that I'm less active, I don't have the same muscle soreness that I was getting from my daily workouts -- but my back feels weaker, it's harder to lift things into and out of my car (not prohibitively difficult, but I've noticed a change for the worse), and I can't just stand around and walk for as long as I used to.

I've been getting back on the wagon over the last month, doing exercise videos at home, and it's really helping out. I plan to keep at it and return to my former glory (if you can call it that!).

I'm curious if you ever crossed the International Date Line during your streak. If so, how did you configure your watch to keep the streak alive. I cross the IDL about four times a year, and each time it puts an end to my current streak due to the watch being confused as to what day it is.
Historically, I have travelled internationally quite a bit. Over the past few years, I have been delegating my international trips... so I have not run into that problem.

I've thought about it however, and my plan has been to ensure that complete all of my exercise before heading to the airport on departure date... and then planning to do the same once I cross over. The biggest problem would be the 12 hours of standing, which might not be achievable on the westward trip to Asia. On the return eastward journey, it should be easy since it works in your favor.

I think it has. I do not exercise that aggressively, but it keeps me active every day. The only thing I really do is walk. The 30 minute green circle keeps me honest to that as a minimum, but I typically get closer to 60 minutes. I typically walk about 5 miles a day. Of that, about 3 miles are dedicated exercise walks, and the remaining 2 miles is normal daily activity.

I've done just that — completed my exercise before the trips, and made sure I managed to stand once an hour through the flight — but the problem occurs upon arriving in the different time zone. The watch gets confused and combines two days' worth of activity into one day, with the activity for the arrival date being reset to zero.

The 1000 day move goal is only impressive depending on the actual daily goals. A goal of 300 calories a day, for example, would hardly be impressive. I like that Apple is now personalizing monthly challenges tailored to the individual.

The Apple Watch was first introduced to the public on April 24, 2015. I picked mine up that day, and set-up the watch that evening. Beginning the next morning, on April 25, 2015, I have closed all three of my circles every day.

Today I received my 1000 day move goal reward. Of course, my "Longest Move Streak" is also 1000 days.

Who else has hit the 1000 day move goal?

I started this post 1000 days ago, which in itself was 1000 days after the Apple watch. Today, I achieved my "2000 Day Move Goal award", and of course, my "Day Longest Day Streak" is also at 2000 days.

I have closed all 3 rings every day, with the exception of stand goal a few times when flying west to Asia. I had plenty of standing hours to accomplish the goal, but losing a day crossing the International Date Line did not give enough time for the watch to assign them to the proper day.

Anyone else hit 2000 days yet? Today is the day!

Got my 1K trophy this morning. Got a new band to celebrate. But it wasn't easy. I had my SO replaced FOUR times. Each time, Apple worked to get it back to me ASAP. My problem was the glued on back for three of the returns and a battery swelling for the fourth. Thanks to express returns, a trip to the Apple store and the techs determined not to give me a day off, it's done. Go us! Now what?

Jane Doe: You and hit 1000 the same day. Just wondering, did you hit 2000 today too?

Keep up the good work.

It really bugs me when I’m getting ready for bed and I realize I haven’t closed all 3 circles. I get dressed again and take a walk around the neighborhood to close them.

I‘ve missed my stand goal a few times when traveling west over the international date line. I had over 24 hours of continuous stand hours, but once you cross the IDL it advances the day, you have no stand hours, and there isn’t sufficient hours to get 12 hours of stand. Luckily it isn’t needed to get the reward.
