How do charges work? My order was preauthorized for the full amount, but I later got an email saying that my card was declined because it was $600 over CL. I did order multiple items so they shipped out on availability.

Apple Store orders page is down, so can't confirm what's happening.

Not a great testimony to speed when you show yourself 4x faster than the 8th gen Intel CPU. I'm pretty sure my Grandmothers walker was 4x faster than that CPU.
if that would be true, than it is on par with what Apple claimed about M1...3-4x time faster than the Intel macbook air 8th gen...but again they compare that is 3x faster/Watt than R series from 2015(and we know those chips were nowhere near as good as the 2019 chips) or 4x times faster than i3 7th gen and under windows 10 that we all know its much "heavier" OS...those claims will not stand in real world

If you ordered everything on the same order which sent you over the CL, all of the orders will be cancelled and you'll have to fractionally order until you get the denial when you exceed your spending potential. They will not send bits and pieces of orders because that was not the way your ordered it, and it would violate your purchase agreement, as well as put the CC charging authority at a higher legal risk. Since it is with your Apple Card call Apple and make sure the entire order is cancelled, if it is with a non-Apple card call that card service center (800 number on the back) and let them know so you don't keep a large credit hold on your card.

My order showed up in my UPS My Choice account. Currently in Shanghai, CN. UPS shows a tentative delivery date of Monday the 16th.

Don't need to be an early adopter on this one. Gonna wait and see how the experience is for others ;)

Best of luck!
I picked up a Mini Mac, not to use for production but because I want to use it to write some test code. I can see a world where these things will be used in heavy server side applications.

Waves hand, early adopter here. For $999 why not? The M1 is clearly the future for Apple, so I would rather find out sooner or later if it is my future or if I need to upgrade my Intel Macs before they are gone. If I like it, score! Old air gets recycled. If I hate it, will know soon and then I return it. In the meantime, definitely will be fun or at least interesting. I am not one to sit on the side lines and expect my experience to match others :)

Agreed, and you'd think that Apple would be better at Apple to Apple comparisons. I despise the open attempts to deceive by Apple. What I want to know is how much faster in the top two benchmark tests the M1 is than the A14Z, for me that is the only comparison that matters. The iPad Pro 12.9 2020 that my wife has smokes most Intel 10th Gen CPU's, so that should be the real world comparison for Apple. If the M1 is fractionally faster than the A14Z that is a win, unless the fraction is between 1-10% faster, at which point you're just Alice chasing the Rabbit.

Same here. They have been providing A chips for years. It gives me confidence that the M1 chip will be pretty stable. I guess we'll find out soon.

I'm so excited. I just got my UPS notification for my base config M1 MacBook Air arriving on Monday!!

The app and the website is still down though and so I can't verify it there.

Ordered the base mac mini with 8GB RAM from Best Buy for delivery on the 17th. Not too concerned with the 8GB of RAM because this will be more of a toy than a production machine.

Yep. Pretty much same. Could always swap in January if I feel differently then. But 629 wasn’t much to get in on the m1 stuff.

I think I am getting my device in mid December. I hope the date moves up a bit.
I have the iPhone 12 Pro Max on order and when I saw the delivery date of Dec 3-12th I was a bit pissed. When Apple says "Shipping this Friday," a great qualifier would be to say where from. Another opportunity for Apple to improve on their customer service would be to say iPhones, MacBooks, Mac mini's start arriving in the US on X Date, and will ship to homes and businesses on Xa Date arriving in 3-7 business days. But Apple does not care about truth in retail, they are all about the polish of presentation, and the show. If they can hook us gullible folk who still buy and use their products with half-truths, and deny product development as well as user OS issues, they will continue to do so.

There are times where it is hard to stay with Apple, this being one of them. As I've said several times prior, I badly want to unify my platform (desktop, laptop, phone) to Apple, but the new (2014 designed) Macbook pushed that until next years Macbook (maybe). The new Macbook in it's 2014 chassis should cost about $800 to start the game, expecially when you use a car analogy. Even Chevrolet knew they could not rest on the 2014 Corvette redesign forever, and as soon as they released the mid engine it cost less, had better performance, and was a ground up engineering marvel. That marvel costs LESS than the 2014 (model for model) counting for inflation. If I sit in an office all day, eventually a bird will fly into the window, and if I hear it I can suggest I understand the plight of ALL birds. If the only people Apple are listening to are the share holders (myself included), profit is job one. It is obvious they are not listening to the users or the top 5-7 rumors pages, because the Macbook would not look anything like its current form.

I'm also experiencing issues with order page on both iOS and web interface. It either doesn't work at all or shows only some parts of my order. Ordered Air and I have no clue when it arrives.. :/

I wish everyone good luck on the new Macintosh systems. I still have 2 years left with my AppleCare warranty with my MacBook Pro 16 and in a couple of years all the hardware performance and software performance should be worked out by then. We should be on a M3 with a AMD high end mobile gpu. Or hopefully they will have a Mac mini Pro tower by then. Don't really need a mobile laptop any longer, but a mini tower would be nice. I still like the option of changing out a video card or a monitor when I want to change it out.
