Control centre is... big.

and it is finally customizable ;-) Lets see how much..:

"iOS 11 lets you customize the redesigned Control Center so you can change the settings for the things you do most. Want to be ready when inspiration hits? Add a Voice Memos control. Want to dim the lights in the dining room with a tap? Add Home controls. Or use 3D Touch in Control Center to unlock even more commands."

Have 32bit devices been axed ?

Didn't get a clear view on the keynote live stream.

32-bit were killed in 10.3. Within 10.3 it lets you know that 32-bit apps will not be available in future iOS versions.

The iPhone 5s is the oldest iPhone to support iOS 11, and it was the first 64-bit iPhone. So yes, 32-bit devices are dead.

Anyone notice in the screenshots that the signal strength dots have reverted back to the old-style bars?

It's the first thing I noticed and it's even more proof to me that Apple has no clue what they're doing. They cannot design at all anymore. Firing Forstall was a big mistake and every year that passes I think that more and more.

Probably for the iPhone 8 speaker and sensor cut out. The current dots with carrier name is too long for that
I was thinking the same thing... maybe it is a clue in that direction... the fact they announced so many things which won't appear until the end-of-the-year, makes me think they have high expectations for the September announcements...

I downloaded the profile and now it wants to go to iOS 10.3.3 Dev Beta 2 instead of iOS 11 :/

Edit: Naturally I had the wrong profile... Downloading iOS 11 beta now.

Steve Jobs original vision was that the computers would be devices we turn on and off like TVs or other appliances. The iPad seems to be a path to that.

And also a walled garden.

I am getting a sense that they really are aiming to push iPad pros as a replacement for laptops. They are, after all the time of pretending not to, going to directly compete with Surfaces.

Mac will never go touchscreen. But the touchbar is a dead-end development while they continually will nudge us to iOS if we don't want to drop thousands on a video editing machine.

My response: f### you. I want my terminal. I want to be able to add extensions to my browser for my own needs. I need more third-party software than what the App store offers.
