First Beta of iOS 11 Now Available for Developers

Remind me: How soon does the public beta usually become available? A month, a week?
 
Has anyone been able to test iOS 11 with Car Play yet? If so is it working with current versions of Car Play?
 
Seems like more people are excited about the new signal bar look more than anything else. It's sad that this is probably the most exciting thing about iOS 11. The new CC overhaul looks like a confusing mess as well as the App Store design change. Why wouldn't they completely re-design iOS 11 so that it's fresh and exciting and looks great with the upcoming iPhone re-design? Basic features like dark mode and choosing default apps are still unavailable. So disappointing.

My next phone will be a Galaxy. I've had many friends switch over to the S8 this year from the iPhone and they've been very happy. I'd rather deal with a bit of lag then with the same stale, walled up iOS. Sad.

Anyone noticed if multilingual typing got upgraded?
I would be nice to see more languages available to use side by side.

Wow, they removed 3D Touch on the left side to open multitasking!?!? Why!!!?

Feeling this way as well, like iOS 11 for iPhone is just, as of right now, underwhelming. Nothing really stood out to me as a staple feature, even though I like the control center change. Going to try out iOS 11 until the Note 8 comes out.

Apple TV remote can be added to control center!! so cool

I continue to think this. At least for the 5.5 inch sized iPhones. I can't think of any reason not to implement this.

Makes sense that looks are more important than actual usability. /s :rolleyes:

You know, it just hit me reading your post that maybe there will be an iOS 12 to go with iPhone 8 with just such a redesign? After all, Apple is breaking it's historic upgrade cycle by including a "premium" iPhone (either iPhone 8 or iPhone Edition depending on who you talk to). Why not do the same with iOS? Limit it to iPhone 8 and keep the 7S with iOS 11.

Apple wouldn't pull that kind of a stunt...would they?
 
As far I can see..... No multi tasking on iPad mini 4. Anybody found a way to add Google Drive or Dropbox to the file manager?

I will install on an iPad pro later....

I meant with normal betas like once the public beta starts, they usually come a few hours to a day after the developer one. It's usually pretty much the same thing tbh.
