I dunno, compared to the last couple of years, this looked like finally progress! Notice how none of the old heads (well other than Craig and Tim) were on stage. Apple seems like they're trying again.
The developer's website gladly took my payment to renew my lapsed membership but it's throwing an error and not allowing me to download. It says try again later. I guess there is an onslaught of traffic.

I was honestly impressed with what I saw in the keynote. Strongest case for iPad replacing a laptop for some yet.

I am not sure how I feel about "Sign in with Apple" considering its their solution to counterparts that have been available for awhile. One can proclaim privacy and I respect what Apple is trying to accomplish, however is this really the solution. We have had checks and balances with AppStore and yet there have been many apps that circumvent the security and privacy guidelines placed by Apple, in fact it some have flowing under the radar from Apples review process. So I have to be skeptical, until a through review is conduct by neutral third parties.

I hope not, considering lightening USB drivers have been available for a long time. If it was USB-C only, I did not see any fine print or the limitation being mentioned during the Keynote.
I'm also seeing nothing happen when trying to Restore on my Windows machine, no messages, nothing. Could it be our devices need to be on the current Release of iOS, meaning 12.3.1? I'm currently on the 12.4. Thoughts?
Nobody knows yet, and judging by that warning Apple put on the dev portal.... I would hold off and wait to see how its going for a few days.
It seems everyone is having some sort of problem installing this so far. Has anyone actually got the beta up yet?
I've noticed the download has been failing but the file looks like it's finished and when iTunes is used it gives a compatibility issue. Check the file size and compare it to a new download. Mine failed and was 1.5GB.
This is what finally worked and allowed iTunes to install it. Installed latest Xcode beta, then I stopped getting the iTunes software update message. Option+Update worked after that
"A software update is required to update your iPhone" on the ipsw, it fails, won't install. Odd.
My iPad Pro 10.5 has already replaced 95% of my Macbook usage, to the point I now timeshare on my wife’s MacBook for the things I can’t do on my IPP. Desktop class safar, file download manager (& integration with the Files app) plus multi-windowed apps (they had me at running 2 instances of MS Word side by side) and iPadOS has me practically vibrating with anticipation.
Will jump in with my beta profile once iPadOS goes GM later this year, but Apple just knocked a couple of percentage points off of that last 5% I need a Macbook for.
If Apple play their cards right I may end up upgrading to a newer IPP later this year too.
Xcode beta needs to be downloaded it seems, for those having issues with the restore image.

Finished download size is 4.137.160.031 Byte at my computer - but still can't install successfully because of the iTunes download not finishing. Apple Configurator tells me it can't unzip the ipa (probably the new packaging mentioned in the keynote). Trying the Configurator beta now...
edit: that's the size for my ipadOS DL
Man, it's great that Xcode doesn't take four years to unzip and install on a newer Mac. /s
Has anybody tried installing the iOS beta in Catalina yet? Does that give the same error message?
