How do you turn it off? I can't find the option.
Go to settings ON the watch. General>Siri> toggle off

Hey danny! (it's socopithy from Ants)Mine's been off the charger for about 4.5 hours and it's still at 91%. Going on a half hour run now. I'll report the battery life afterwards.
Hey danny! (it's socopithy from Ants)
I've had mine off the charger since 7:30am EST (now 2:30 EST, so 7 hours) and I'm at 77%. So it seems like I have a similar rate of battery discharge, but I used Power Reserve for an hour when I was on a train this morning.
Think I'm actually draining more? VERY light usage. Have barely touched it except to raise my wrist and look at notifications.
I have noticed that when I'm at my desk, hands resting on my keyboard, the watch can occasionally light up, thinking it is in a raised position. Anyone else notice that?
Turn off 'Hey Siri' and your battery life will last A LOT longer.
It's been day 3 with my 38MM SS, and the battery life is FINALLY better! The first two days were horrible!
Started at 93%
Currently at 84%
Usage is 1 hour, 38 minutes
Standby time is: 5 hours and 10 minutes
So, 9% lost since I last took it off the charger this morning, and I've used it as I normally would during the first two days.
During the first two days (same usage as today), I was dropping around 9% per hour (based on standby time). Typically, I would be down 45% in 5 hours or so.
Day 3 update: battery life is amazing. Been off charger for almost 12 hours with tons of use and I'm at 61%. Break in period confirmed.
Update:
Started: 93%
Currently: 55%.
Usage is 3 hours, 37 minutes
Standby time is 13 hours and 35 minutes
Not bad at all to say I have the 38mm, and the 42mm gets even better battery life. I guess my battery has finally settled in. This is definitely more like it!
"The Apple Watchs battery life is phenomenal.
People seems to be having difficulty with a crucial part of the Apple Watch experience, and I think that might be the source of much of the confusion. The Apple Watch is not a smartphone. Its not meant to be used for extended periods of time. The duration of an interaction with the Watch can be counted in seconds, not minutes.
Lift your wrist to check the time and temperature, youre done.
Lift your wrist to check a notification, read a message, send a quick reply, youre done.
Lift your wrist, double-tap the button to access Apple Pay, pay for your groceries at Whole Foods, youre done.
Lift your wrist, tap the crown, open the Uber app, tap to hail a car, youre done.
Lift your wrist, swipe up to access your Glances, use the heart rate glance to measure your pulse, youre done.
Thats what the Watch is for, and thats all youll want to use it for. You dont play games and watch videos on the Apple Watch, because that would be ridiculous. Its designed for quick interactions and it does its job quite well. It might seem odd from a distance, and perhaps you cant really appreciate it until you live with the Watch and see for yourself.
So, back to the battery life. For those of you concerned that the battery wont even make it through the day, I can assure you that should not be a concern.
I take my Apple Watch off the charger each morning between 6:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. I use it all day, and I put it back on the charger sometime between 11:00 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. each night. When I do, the Watch almost always has at least 50% of its charge remaining. Even on days with very heavy usage even when I first got it and was playing with it constantly it had 35% or more left in the tank when I took it off at night.
There are definitely valid complaints surrounding the Apple Watch. Plenty of them. But battery life most certainly cannot be counted among them."
