Hmm not sure yet. I bought an iPhone 11 today. At first I didn't want to, I wanted to hold on to my dear iPhone 6s plus for another year and still works great albeit the battery of course since I never changed it.

I went for the 11 because I really like the green colour and the new camera tempted me.

Now that it's in my hands (and after having some issues setting it up) I notice the phone it's smaller than my 6sPlus and looks cheaper.. the screen it's a bit longer but it's narrower .

I don't like face Id that much... I prefer Touch ID to be honest

The camera seems to be better. that's good. I don't feel the 11 is much heavier, I can hardly notice . It doesn't bother me either that it's slightly thicker
it's true , the notch it's annoying...
I think I will miss my 6s plus.. 🤔 expect the ugly antenna bars at the back

You just got the phone and it is a change coming from a 6S plus. Face ID and the notch will take a little time to get used to.

As far as looking cheap I would have to disagree. I don’t think any of the iPhones released this year look cheap. However, this is just my opinion.

While I absolutely do not think the iPhone 11 looks cheap AT ALL, it is not as premium feeling as the 11 Pro is. But even then, the iPhone 11 should look and feel super super nice with that glossy back glass.

not to mention,

^ That is a super upgrade, A9 vs A13 haha? The A10 slaughters the A9. And the A11 just demolishes a A10 that is already fast, the A12 is decently faster than the A11, and the A13 is like 20-30% beyond the A12.

give the phone some time, FaceID is excellent!. They are all very premium built devices. And the iPhone 11 will simply blow the doors off of any other phone on the market.

I went from 6s plus to 11 as well. Was a monstrous improvement for me. For a similar size and weight it is much better in so many regards.

one of my own little tests is the podcast app. I have so many podcasts that when checking recents it has several thousand. This takes minutes on my 6s plus but instantaneous on my. iPhone 11.

As for face Id vs touch I have 4 other iOS devices with Touch ID and Face ID is so much better. Most of the time I don’t even notice it just works.

everyone has their own thoughts and needs but for me the upgrade and difference is massive and there is nothing I lament about missing from the 6s plus.

As for looking cheap I dont see it. My product red 11 is a nice looking device and looks good next to the 6s plus.

I suggest you return it tomorrow and get yourself a new battery for your 6S Plus.

I moved from the 6 Plus to the 11 and am not thrilled. The screen aspect ratio change bothers me the most. Despite being a larger screen, it’s effectively a smaller for my usage.

The clock is ticking toward my Friday return cutoff but I got $200 off and a boosted trade-in credit so I’ll probably wind up living with it for now.

i don’t see anything in the ecosystem I prefer except maybe an 8 Plus and I hate to drop back performance wise. I’m in the ecosystem soundly so they can sell me phones I don‘t like.

Looks cheaper? Really? The 6/6S/7 series look like Fisher Price toys. I went from an iPhone 8 to the 11 Pro, and the Pro just feels and looks so much more classy/premium.

I had similar feelings last year when I bought a XR. I used it for a few months and realized I would be happier with an 8+. I too like Touch ID. Maybe the 8+ would be a good upgrade for you. It is still sold by Apple and iOS 13 works very well on it.

Sorry to ask, but why exactly don't you like FaceID?

with Touch ID I only had to touch the home button and that was it. Now with Face ID I seem to be doing more steps most of the time to unlock my phone. First tap, then swipe, then half the time will ask me to enter my password because it didn't see my face I suppose .
If my face is too close to the screen then Face ID doesn't work I've noticed

yes I thought about that but I didn't see the point to buy the 8, an old phone regardless and my 6s still working perfectly. I could just change my battery and keep it for another year.
But of course if I kept it for another year, I will only get half the price of what I can get now for my 6s.

I'm going away tomorrow until Monday, I will take the 11 with me. I will be very careful with it and come next week I will decide whether to return it or not.

I liked the matt finish at the back of the 6s (expect for the antenna bars)
but I really like the green on my 11. I like more the midnight green of the Pro but I didn't want to spend more.
and also the front edges it's all black.. it looks like any other phone. My 6s is white and I like the white front , I guess I'm used to that.I wish apple made the front in different colours as well rather than just black now for all phones

yes, that's what bothers me the most. The screen just feels smaller . I didn't realise when I saw the phone in the store, I should have put my phone next to the 11 to compare. You only notice this things at home

They can't/won't colour the glass on the front though and all the new iphones are edge to edge glass.

Also went from a 6s plus to an 11 and I’m extremely glad I did. Definitely don’t think the 11 looks or feel cheap. I think it’s extremely sexy (got the all black 128 GB, up from 64GB silver on the 6s plus).

Losing the home button took a little bit to get use to, but the overall improvements are staggering. Absolutely no regrets at all, Battery life is doubled, performance is blow out compared to the A9 on the 6s plus. Overall it’s an amazing upgrade and anyone who’s on the fence about upgrading from a 6s plus I urge you to do it !

Went from an XS to a 128Gb 11; just got it last night.

I live in the middle of nowhere, and my house is notoriously tough to get any signal in. Let's just say it's a DEFINITE improvement. I can easily make calls with no dropouts/artifacts. I'm a happy camper.

what network are u on, i wanna see how big of a improvement is the new intel modem

So, I had an 8 Plus, originally I had the 6 plus and went with the X, couldn't deal with the smaller phone so I returned it for the 8 plus and I was happy again. Bigger phone and screen. I just got the 11 a couple days ago and was kind of used to the ecosystem from having the X and my wife having the X but to be honest I really am loving the 11. Yes it's longer not as wide as the 8 plus, but it's fast as hell and works so much better. It doesn't have the OLED screen but LCD which I really dont' care about tbh, couldn't see much of a difference, and I am not a pic taker so I didn't really care about either pro version of the 11. I take some pics but not enough to justify 300 dollars or more. And it does feel lighter than the 8 Plus and is more comfortable to carry around. I am pretty happy with it. kinda loving it right now. It doesn't feel cheap at all to me it looks great and looks even better with my Spigen case I put on it. I was also sick of the bezels as well and wanted the full screen.

Different strokes man.
