I guess more and more apps will be iOS16+ with the new phones around the corner. Not an essential app but Reddit has now updated to 16. Older versions can still be downloaded but for how much longer?

old.reddit.com why do you need an app?

My very negative opinion on Reddit aside, the App Store always offers the version of the an App that will work on your device, even if it's several versions old. If it connects to an online service/account, that doesn't mean said app will still function.

well, i waited, like many, for the iphone SE4. instead, we got a $600 16e. i wish they had kept it an SE named model. or, it would be great if they would create a dedicated SE line that caters to what that crowd looks for, esp. price and size.

so, i cling to my first gen. SE. it only has 32gb of storage (i do utilize icloud). the software has topped out at ios 15.8. how much longer can this phone at that level of software continue to function day to day? i could update the browser to firefox or something. i like that my phone has a home button, headphone jack, small size, etc.

I still use my iphone SE daily. It's usually called iphone 5SE because of the similar appearance.
Main uses include receiving calls, multi-factor IDs, clock, recording my walk (used as a smart watch), sound recorder, and many other useful things to my work and life.
I do have another big-screen phone for other purposes. But having a small phone like this iphone SE is a convenience I don't want to drop.
