Apple with their $120B in cash couldn't higher a half decent photographer with a camera better than an iphone to take pictures of a flagship store? This is straight out of Tim Cook the beancounter's penny-pinching playbook and Jobs never would have allowed such shoddy work.

These photos were sent to us by MacRumors reader Phillip and show the nearly completed store stocked with merchandise.

So much for your Tim Cook theory.

I think the word you're after is hire and not higher... At least they sound similar!

Oh be quiet. If you hate Apple so much why are you here?

Apple is the only company where they can make retail stores into a travel site from across the world! My bucket list is to actually see one of the best Apple store in each country! I would get to see the world with my :apple:

Thank god I'm 19 because I will need a lot of time to accomplish this task

Good show....

Although why do we have a pathetic Apple logo and every other building i see had a big one that stands out in other countries.?

its almost like one of those things from "The Fifth Element" where you place both hands on the "Apple logo" :apple:

Inside looks good though.

Now Melbourne CBD, please Apple. :)

You beat me to it. Yes, Apple please build one of your stunning flagship stores here in Melbourne CBD. I can say, without a doubt, that it will be very, very popular. And with so many beautiful buildings in the city area, it will fit in nicely.

Apple's delay must be something to do with finding the write building, and that they're probably thwarted whenever the chance does come up. Otherwise, I don't understand why there isn't an Apple flagship store in the city of Melbourne.

Oh, and nice new store in Brisbane.

apple is no different than starbucks...whereever you go..there always will be apple store.
Not always. I have never been to an Apple store. So this Brisbane one of Friday will be the first for me.

I think the Myer Apple Store within a store will die because of the new Apple store. The resellers in the area will probably die too.

----------

We've got 7 Apple Stores in Sydney :p :D
Quality > Quantity.

No. The nearest Apple Store ~ 20 hours of driving from me. We have 5 dedicated Apple resellers and 30 or 40 electronics stores who carry most of Apple's line, but no Apple Store.

We do have a starbucks... I'd never buy coffee there though. Yuk.

I actually really like the Bondi Junction store over the George St one because it has trees at the back and a huge skylight.

I've heard about that one and it is indeed well designed. When I'm in Sydney next I'll defo visit it.

You and me alike. I'll be there on opening day.

Won't be there Friday but I was planning a trip to 'the big city' and this is on more stop I'll be doing in a few weeks.

Dumb question but those in Brisbane is there parking nearby that's affordable... please don't laugh.

Peak time parking in Brissy CBD is horrid... But if you plan to get in after 4PM, use secure-a-park for $5 parking for the night.

Can we get some readers to walk by the Apple campus 2 site and take some pictures? I'd find that more interesting. The Portland OR flagship site is humming along btw.

Yeah, that's number one on my bucket list too!

The Brisbane CBD store will be the first flagship store I've been to - looks pretty great so far. Won't be there on opening day though. Anyone else planning to go down from the Sunshine Coast?

chairs

Even wonder why there aren't any chairs or stools in the show room in the apple store in the usa? because they don't want to customers to sit there and play with their products for extended period of time that would let customers find something wrong with their products.

the only apple store with some stools is the grove store in los angeles but those stools are located on the 2nd floor where maintainence is carried out.

in short, apple store is an ingenius store to get your money without you spending time and taking up space there. it's supposedly set up to be very free and open but you'll never take advantage of the use.

Unless some days apple stores have sofa and comfy chairs, most people wont even spend more than 30 min there.

Man, there are some really beautiful Apple stores, seemingly mostly international. I've been to lots of Apple stores in the U.S. (2-3 dozen) and they are all really generic. Nice, but not really impressive in any way.

Agreed. This Brisbane store appears to be in a very nice building indeed! There's something about those ceilings and massive pillars (missing in those newer buildings) that inspires confidence and permanence.
