Curious the specified reason for that? There has been speculation that Huawei hardware/software don't offer any backdoors for the spy agencies, and for that reason, the powers that be, want to limit the markets Huawei can sell into. Perhaps Rob Braxman will eventually chime on Huawei, he seems to be big on security, and rants on Apple, Windows, $MS, but as of yet, I have not seen him talking much about Huawei.
I think there are some powers at play here. Before Huawei got banned they gained popularity in a rapid pace. Better specifications at a fraction of the price of an iPhone. If Huawei didn’t got banned I’m sure they were bigger than iPhone in Europe.
