First iPhone 4 Camper spotted

You know what's funny this guy is Gona wait a week and I'll still be first to get the iPhone since in in Florida jajajajjj I would laugh if the servers crashed and he couldent activate it that would suck. On the other note have fun

****. it has been noted EARLIER in the thread as I been following this stupid event, that he was on unemployment. How was i even passing judg"no e"ment anyways? I was telling him unemployment benefits are running out, he should be more wise with his money until congress agrees on more extensions rather than buying an iPhone.

you are very welcome and good thing is ill prolly wait in line over night rather than a week what a waste of time. if he wants to go camping go to a park
 
I just said it had been stated earlier in the thread dude is on unemployment.

Just because someone is unemployed doesn't automatically mean they are on limited financial resources. That is the point I'm making.

Thanks for your concern, but if you actually go back and read the thread, I have said many times I am not on unemployment benefits. I do not work everyday been disabled and all, but I do have my own business that I do on the side. I'm paying for out of my own money in savings.
 
Morning Visit to Justin

dtboice dropped by and we went to Krispy Kreme and got some doughnuts for Justin. So we dropped off the KK, chatted outside w/ Justin for a while, had some really good laughs about the conversations in the forum, went inside the store for a bit (I OWNED PvZ!...hahaha). After that dtboice suggested we grab some lunch so we treated Justin to some Chuy's. We had a good time getting to know Justin better this morning. He's a truly good guy.

Funny thing, dtboice and I discovered that we both used to be roommates with this same guy that I have known since 3rd grade!!! Man it's a small world (ok...D/FW is just small ;)).

Anyway, here's a pic of some doughnuts being made and dtboice delivering them to Justin.

I've read all of Justin's posts and watched all of the video interviews posted so far. I don't see a man that is the slightest bit interested in doing this for publicity or attention. Now, he might be enjoying the attention (or, maybe not). But that's not why he's doing it. I believe him when he's repeatedly said he's doing it because it seemed like a fun experience!

In a message yesterday, Justin mentioned that someone else had told him that she was going to come down there and join him last night. If that happened, now Justin has someone to share the experience with on a very one-to-one basis. Others will surely follow in the coming days. And Justin will be down there meeting people, shaking their hands, swapping stories and maybe playing a few games to pass the time (I'm picturing someone bringing along an iPad to play Scrabble and everyone using their iPhones for the tiles).

Sounds like fun to me!

So, there's Justin, and his newly-made friends, hanging around and enjoying each other's company. A growing group of people that are like-minded. Face-to-face, making real connections with one another. Sharing their common interest and love for gadgets made by Apple. Perhaps forging friendships that might last well beyond their few days in line together.

If you ask me, Justin is the winner from this whole experience. He will be "richer" for it, and I'm betting so will the people that come in contact with Justin.

And the losers? Those would be the closed-minded, self-righteous people that condemn anything they don't agree with or don't understand. The sad, emotionally bankrupt, cup-is-half-empty crowd that only know how to ridicule and hate because that's all that takes away their own pain. Maybe they were neglected or abused as children? Or, maybe they simply think it's "fun" to be rude, cruel and hateful? Pitiful... really really pitiful!

Justin is down there waiting in line for an iPhone 4 for the same damn reasons so many of us participate in this forum. We are excited about Apple's latest gadgets and we enjoy discussing them in the company of like-minded enthusiasts. At least Justin has the balls to go and do it in person, face-to-face with people that will use their real names, putting himself out there, good or bad, for the FUN OF IT.

Two big thumbs up for Justin! Hang in there man!

I think this is awesome that you guys are taking the time to befriend and support Justin. I'm in Arizona so all I can offer is my words of encouragement to him. Give him a good game for me when you see him... not too much cuppage though... that is just gay.

Justin, I watched the YouTube vid and I'm guessing you're from around here. I imagine the Krispy Kremes were good for breakfast, but there's a Dickies BBQ at Knox, right off 75. I bet a BBQ sandwich would hit the spot for lunch! Any way, best of luck to you.

So, I read where another poster is meeting his friends the night before at the TCU store. That's where my reservation is. I figure I'll buzz by in the morning and check out the line, but I' suspect I'll end up stopping by after work to pick up my phone.
