I could go for a double double and a maple dip from TimHo's right about now. (sounds kinky but isn't)

Justin - Are you sleeping on the ground, or do you have an air mattress? It's hard to tell from the pictures. If there is any fundage left in the paypal account "we" should buy him an air mattress. Granted there are only a few days left, but there will be another phone next year!

i support him but this "buying" him stuff i don't get. He chose to go out there with what he has (not that he's asked for anything either)...couldn't that "fundage" be donated to a better cause?

Thank you!

A voice of reason amogst this 'we love Justin' hysteria.

I look at it like this, he seems to be a honest to goodness nice person. Several members have spent time with him and can attest to this. There are so few people left in the world like him.

I like to see good things happen to good people, it gives me warm fuzzies. Plus, I like to believe what goes around comes around. It's nice to do nice things, RAOK can really make a person's day.

that's 100% true as far as good things happen to good people, but that fund can help far more people if donated elsewhere....he obviously isn't financially strapped or in need of money. I mean at the least, find some homeless people to buy donuts, food and mattresses for..that may help them out far better.

There are times when it is a nice gesture to "pay it forward".

I believe the people that donated to help Justin were doing that, in part, for whatever reason.

Justin did not solicit for any type of donation.

wouldn't paying it forward mean more to help someone who is REALLY down on their luck?? i mean is giving a guy whose gonna shell out $199 or $299 for a phone free things truly paying it forward?

and just because he did not solicit donations, he's been on here enough to say no to them.

And who's to say that the folks that gave money for a gift for Justin aren't also giving money and/or time to the needy or other worthy causes?

By your logic, anyone that buys a gift for a friend is wasting the money when they could, instead, give the same money to a homeless shelter.

PEOPLE DO BOTH! And, frankly, the reasons or motivations behind someone's giving is THEIR personal business.

IMO - I believe the general concept of "paying it forward" is to pass on to someone else in need something of which you have an abundance of. Obviously, each person will have their own interpretation of what this means to him/her.

Again, just my opinion.

Just so you know, I niether agree nor disagree with your opinion on this particular issue.

i'm sure some of them do donate to other causes. but is Justin a true friend? do they REALLY know him? how many times have you given a random person a gift?? My friends/family are deserving of gifts for being just that. I just don't see how he' so deserving of all this free stuff, that's all.

no way did i say donating YOUR money to Justin is wrong..i just said that the money could be donated to a cause or group that can actually use the money, not to someone whose about to BUY a brand new iPhone.

Can we please get back on topic and discuss how this retarded individual is abusing his disability benefits and just being an inspiration for face palms everywhere?

Thankssssss

Yeah thanks for your own opinion that you think I'm retarded. If I'm not mistaken, you're the retard who hasn't read my previous posts on why I decided to do this and that I have not mentioned anything about receiving any benefits. If you actually go back in read, I'v said many times I have my own business I operate from home and I'm on a break from it. Perhaps if you did some research on what is coming from the individual rather then relying on people who wrote their own stories you be in better of understanding.

Dammit Justin... quit replying to the less informed. It just fuels their fire.

When you donate money to a homeless shelter, the Red Cross, the American Cancer Society or [insert favorite charity here], exactly who are you donating that money to besides a "random person"?

So, yes, my wife and I donate to "random persons" on a regular basis! And so do millions of other people around the world.

Nobody said you aren't entitled to your opinion about donating money to Justin. But you're coming on here attacking other people for doing it. Yes, your ATTITUDE about it is an attack on the idea. And it's particularly offensive when you know full well that the people that chose to do it AND Justin are participating in this thread.

If this was a generic discussion about charity and donations to worthy causes, then such negativity would be perfectly appropriate. But the idea being discussed here is specific to a named individual. Your negativity is RUDE and out of place here.

Actually he's repeatedly been quoted as telling people to go check him out on the news. While not waving his arms in your super-specific example, he is doing it for some attention.

Again, I'm not this for attention. Just because I came here early to do something extreme doesn't mean I am a attention whore.

For your info, Apple asked the local media to come out here to do a story about it and I just went along with it once they got here. Then after that when it was on the local, it just spread all over because it's a interesting story.

I wave and talk to people everyday because they come by here all the time to see me, bring food or drinks or whatever because they wanted to or have offered.

In fact yesterday, a group came by here all the way from Baton Rouge, LA just to stop by and meet me.

Technically I'm just a main attraction who wasn't expecting or prepared to be in the first place.

i don't recall attacking anyone. Sorry YOU took it as a personal attack. And now my opinion is negative just because i say take the donated money and give it to someone who NEEDS it instead of Justin?

This has got to be one of the weirdest threads i've ever seen.

They hired a guard for one person? WTF?

I wonder if they consider him an undesirable liablity, or they welcome the publicity.

Certainly they are taking extraordinary measures, and at some cost.

The security officer here every night is not just for me, but it has been that why for the past few days until others show up. After that, they are here to protect everyone who is out in the open over night.

Apple actually has to do this for every store during product launches for security of individuals.

Is it me or does every post of Justin's make him a worse person?

At first you let it all slide off like it didn't matter. As the days grow closer and closer to launch you grow more and more short with folks around here.

Lack of sleep?

Or maybe to make sure the line doesn't get out of control and raid the store for iPhones before launch day. ;)

I have a sleeping bag I sleep on and actually I enjoy sleeping on the ground. It helps my back. In fact did you know the japanese do this? They sleep directly on the ground or on a very thin mat.

Look out wacklous, you've triggered the ire of the politically correct mob... enjoy the view from this vantage point. ;)
