Day 5

Good morning everyone!

It's Monday June 21, Day 5.

Last night was the roughest night yet for me.

As I explained in the past, I have to wait until early morning hours around 2:00am at the earliest until I go to bed because of the bars/clubs and having to deal with drunks and other crazies.

Last night I had just gone to bed a bit after 2:00am and was sleeping for about 20 minutes. I was knocked out until all the sudden someone came by and kicked the tent hard enough and me into the head. There was also someone else who drove by 10 minutes later and threw stuff at me. I'm okay, but seriously? Even if you are drunk, thats still not a excuse and give you a reason to be disrespectful.

The security was here, but the officer I had last night really wasn't doing his job. He mostly sat there in his car, lounged back in his seat watching movies. Wasn't really doing anything and didn't even try going after the guys after causing trouble.

I told Apple about it this morning and they were disappointed and were going to contact the group they hired from. Too bad this guy may have missed out on some really good hourly pay for not doing his job.

Besides that, someone has finally started to join me second in line. Her name is Brandy and we have been having a good time talking and all since she arrived this morning at 7:00am.

There are also nine others I have talked to that plan to camp out this store, but haven't started yet.

Three of those were going to join me last night be changed their mind to start either tonight or tomorrow. Either way, the line will start to grow rapidly pretty soon.

The new website for this event is now live and we are posting more updates with photos on there rather then this form. So if you want to keep up with the latest, check the website out. The link is www.iPhoneFirstInLine.com

Have a good day and hopefully I'll see some of you soon!

Glad to see things going so well. It's such a shame that people can freely assault you in front of your "security" and have nothing done about it... def. needs to be reported..

Sorry to hear about that. Good luck this week. I'm super excited for my iPhone 4 to come in.

This isn't going to end well....

All I'm trying to tell you is that I don't have a problem with your 'judgements'. I had the 'balls' to post a pic of myself for you to judge... so there.

I call it like I see it. And what I see out there is a dork on the sidewalk waiting for a friggin' iphone for a week. If it was my own brother, I'd tell him he was a complete dork. So there.

And let me ask you this, if you were chatting in the bar with me (or some female who you actually thought was attractive), would you tell them how there's this guy who's camping out for an iphone and how you're defending him online against some people who say he's a dork for doing that?

I have a feeling that 9 out of 10 girls you talk to would say ... geez, that IS a pretty dorky thing to do.

Can't believe someone kicked your tent and threw **** at you. WTF??? Why am I not surprised. People are evil these days. Pure, unadulterated evil!

You're almost there! Good luck and keep hydrated :)

alright justin! only a few more days to go! btw ive been reading this thread all morning and didnt relize iOS4 is out for download lol so go download it guys

Lol, same thing you're doing right now. You're "dorking" it up on the interwebs!

Actually, yes. 100% yes. Matter of fact, I'd use that as my pickup line....

I'll keep ya posted on how it works.

FYI... posting on a mac-only forums = nerdy too.

Just saying ;)

Good for you.

And yes, as a matter of fact I told some very beautiful girls this weekend that I went down and spent a few hours with Justin. They had several questions at first but overall seemed to agree and thought that what I did was nice.

Absolutely! We're all in this geek boat together!

I do love my 3gs though!

I would also like to point out that the nerdy chicks are always the freaky ones.

The ones that gloat about themselves normally have no imagination.

Yep... I'll bet they were RIVETED.
