ouch, that must put a little sting into this camping effort knowing that he will be one of the last ones to get it despite camping there for a week :p

Ok, I'm a sucker, I take it all back and will edit my post. :D

Well, since Justin said he is not going to come here and give us updates anymore, I think we should just turn this thread into "Post pictures of your new iPhone 4 because it's the 23rd and I didn't even have to camp a week for it." ;)

Wait, people are raising money for this guy now? WTF?? I must have missed that.

Yup, next year I'm quitting my job and camping out 1 month before the iPhone 5 release!!! Sounds good?

I should get free food from all the macrumors members, iTunes giftcards and perhaps a free iPhone!!!! :p

exactly...i mentioned something about the money being donated yesterday and some guy took it personal cause he wanted to donate money to some kid that's already willing to shell out $200 for a luxury item.

oh and apparently you don't really have to camp, just set your tent up there and your free to go out, home, shower, dinner with friends etc...its a win win.

donate |ˈdōnāt; dōˈnāt|
verb [ trans. ]
give (money or goods) for a good cause, for example to a charity :

gift |gift|
noun
a thing given willingly to someone without payment; a present

Can you understand the difference?

And you framing it as a donation, defiles my gift giving. Because you are implying a need - and there isn't one. This is a warm-fuzzie thing. Get over it.

thanks, cause earlier i read they were accepting DONATIONS...glad you cleared that up. without you, the world would turn to shambles. "idiocracy" at it's best.

i thought he also said he's doing it cause he was the FIRST to get the previous iPhone's

No, obviously since he is in CDT he wouldn't get it first. He did it so that he could be first in line...or better yet, not at the end of a VERY long line. He honestly expected the line to start much earlier and get much longer this year that it had in the past.

LOL...it will hopefully be that much sooner the guy can go take a shower...he must be be pretty foul by now...

He got one last night.

Nope....we know you too well by now. Even with that puppy dog face. :p

Left for a couple of hours to vist Justin and grap some lunch, get back to my desk and people are getting their phones?!!? Maybe I should have tried to pre-order. WOW.

This release has gone SO differently than typical Apple releases. All the leaks, releasing on a Thursday, early deliveries. Very interesting.

Not sure if this is where this goes:

International Plaza, Tampa, Fl

No line as of 3pm 6/22.

Guard in store at the door to the back room.
Employee said when asked about cases for iPhone 4: "We don't know what's in the boxes". I assume that means their phones are there already.

Ok I know I am probably going to get flamed for it but I have to say that I would NOT want to camp anywhere near that girl in red tshirt :apple:

I had lunch with her today. She's actually very nice.

Lol. Do you really not understand why they gave him guard? The primary reason is that they knew that some people will think that this is crazy idea and develop hate towards Justin.

They could decide to physically hurt him and it would be disaster PR if news networks will say : "Huge Apple fan who came to camp a week before lunch got beaten up by some strangers who left crime scene shortly after the incident". This will pretty much destroy Apple's "intelligent customers" and whole innocent image Apple has.

LOL. Do you really not understand why people use smilies?

ATT says no walk up sales until June 29th.

Gonna be camping a LONG time that one...

AT&T != Apple
