I think it's ridiculous that an unboxing makes the front page of so many publications. It's not the least bit newsworthy, nor is it informative. People shouldn't care how they device is boxed; they should care how it functions.

ummm unboxing something is all part of the thrill.

people love seeing how things are packaged and what the packaging looks like. you're just abnormal.

lol...

"attention to detail", I think they call it.

However, i can't wait to open packages, as a thrill..... I hardly say "oh look, how good that cardboard fits neatly."

I think there are bigger/better things in life than concerning with packaging. As someone who DOESN'T work i couriers for this very reason.

The air bubbles around both the "iPhone" and Apple logo give it away as a fake immediately.

A clear plastic foil does not create a bubble around/over a smooth font! And there is NO WAY that the font and Apple logo are raised slightly.

Think of all the hands on reviews/previews at the launch last week, that would have been one of the standout changes peoples would have noted when discussing form factor...

Come on people!....

100% Agree. No one mentioned this at all and it would deff be mentioned with all the people doing the reviews after the keynote.

Not so sure. Look closely at the this pic. It has a shiny edge as if it's raised slightly. I still think that's accounting for the air pockets.

Rear screen protector for iPhone 5

If the plastic in this picture float above the iPhone word, is that mean the iPhone word is actually raised a bit?

Then will it affect rear protector for the iPhone?

the back of the phone looks extremely cheap and ugly how it has all those fingerprints. I never understood why apple used fingerprint prone backs

its fake...

I think the plastic is still on top of it. I hope cause it looks like crap and I ordered black lol

I'm inclined to agree. If you look just below the iPhone 5, you can see a line that is perfectly parallel to the bottom of the phone, which appears to be the 'pull tab' to help remove the plastic shipping cover.

Has the ****** design decision to NOT countersink the lens cover, still an issue? I had to literally had to just remove my cover, as it was impossible to take pictures because of the scratches.

I stayed up until 12pm in California on launch day to pre-order my phone. I pre-ordered and was lucky enough to have delivery on the 21st. On the 15th I received an e-mail from Apple saying that they encountered a problem while processing my order, according to AT&T my line had recently been upgraded and that because of this my order had been cancelled. I contacted AT&T per Apple's instructions and they confirmed that my line had NOT been upgraded and I was eligible for discounted upgrade so i contacted Apple support and all they could say was well your order was cancelled so now you have to place another order. Of course by that time delivery is not expected until Oct 10-16th!!! I placed the 2nd order on Saturday and it's still showing processing!:mad:

Apple really screwed me over this time, I really think they could have gone about the fixing the issue they supposedly ran into without cancelling my order! Now that release day inches closer i'm getting more and more pissed off about this!

Life bites!

Lol no it's got to be on the phone.

It is "on the phone." It's in the software, which no matter what version of iOS you restore onto that phone, will be on there. Apple added code for the regulatory menu to appear in Settings all the way back in iOS 4.2.8, but it'll only appear on a CDMA-version iPhone, as it has no regulatory on the back of the glass. The only regulatory on the back of the phone is the FCC ID, which is in size 4 font.

let's see how many people will have the yellow screen problem this time

Let's see how many people have a yellow screen problem, but not because of a bad display. xD
