My shipping on UPS still has not updated since Monday night around midnight local time that it had left Anchorage, Alaska. Anyone having that issue? Shouldn't it arrived somewhere in the continental US by now? Its been over 36 hours.

I think it is a glitch, mine says it is in Alaska, but if you actually read the shipment progress it says it is in Kentucky.

I have a question, hopefully one of you could answer. My iPhone order says "ships in 2 weeks" and "delivers Oct 5th." Is that an estimate or a definite that it will be at my door on, or before, Oct 5th. I figured the "ships in two weeks" would have changed since its been five days since I placed the order. I really wish my alarm went off last Friday, sucks that I got my order in at 5am instead of 3am, at least I know I'll have mine soon.

Same EXACT thing here. Left Alaska and then nothing....

Man that plane must be getting refueled in-air. It has to land someplace sometime! Right?

Usually the "delivers" date is accurate. I would expect to see the phone on or before Oct. 5.

I can only assume they stopped pushing the tracking updates as they were inundated with fully-torqued owners to be looking for there iPhone.

I have the shipment progress open and this is what it shows as the latest entry:

Location Date Local Time Activity
Anchorage, AK, United States 09/18/2012 12:58 A.M. Departure Scan

It could very well in fact that its taking there system some time to update everything since there are so many orders going out of iPhones and other items that people also order via UPS.

I just hope it updates soon. I want to know where it is!

Seriously. I started thinking of Cast Away and hoping that's not the case with the plane that has our iPhone's on it.

Hey guys, what type of music will you be playing while you strip, I mean, unbox your iPhone?

I can't believe Apple ships these things out in individual boxes, 2 million of them, and does not just drop ship giant boxes of them to a central distribution point in each county.

Darn right thats A LOT of bar code scanning for those UPS folks. That being said. Someone please scan mine so I know where it is!!

I second that!

Thanks! That's what I figured. Sometimes they deliver earlier, I just need to know to have someone at the house. School/Work/Extra Curriculars/Community Service it's a killer having to sign for packages.

I ordered a phone and applecare+...looks like it shipped in two packages. (at 2:17am CST)

One shipment (when checked by reference), shows shipped and in KY, the other still shows "Order Processed: Ready for UPS". Poop.

So does anyone know the proper procedure for using an iPhone for the first time? Should you charge the battery before using it or should you kill the battery and charge it fully and then use it? Does it even matter? I killed the battery then charged it up on my iPhone 3G and iPhone 4.
