Hah, the iPhone porn videos.
Even the music fits for this one....

I think it needs to be done to some nice Barry White.

I wonder if iPhone 5 deliveries will make their way into actual porn movies. Eg: The UPS man comes knocking on the lonely housewife's door to deliver her new iPhone 5 and things proceed from there.

Anyways, the only thing I will miss from my 4S is having a 5 foot cable from monoprice. Charging at night is going to be a lot more annoying with the normal shorter Apple cables.

So simply spend the $6 on a USB extension cable...for instance from Amazon:

AmazonBasics USB 2.0 A-Male to A-Female Extension Cable (9.8 Feet/3.0 Meters)

Search on Amazon for: B001TH7GUU

Go to ups.com and TRACK BY REFERENCE (as opposed to track by number). Enter your ten digit phone number as the rerference#, input your country, and your zip code.
You'll see your package is well on its way to you.

If that doesn't work, do the same thing as above on FedEx.com

This didn't work for me for ups or FedEx ,,,, am I doing something wrong? Do I put the phone number like xxx-xxx-xxxx or (xxx)xxx-xxxx or xxxxxxxxxx or does it matter? Account number says reccomended so I didn't

Loved how the guy in the video had to mention how dumb the name was. "iPhone 5 for sixth iPhone stupidest name". Haha awesome. Why is it such a big deal?

I don't believe that guy has any room to talk as he can't even open a box. Pliers? really?

I went to ups.com, then I clicked on the 'Tracking' tab. By default, UPS has you "Track by Number", but you don't want this. You want to click below where it says "Track by Reference".
Make sure you are tracking by reference

As far as what to fill out: Leave shipment type as: "package". Enter your "shipment reference" as ten digits like this "xxxxxxxxxx", leave the shipping date range alone. leave the shipper account box blank. select your country. Select your zip code.

So in summary we filled out your reference number with your ten digit phone number, entered your country, and zip code. That's all.

Quite possibly the worst and best unboxing video I have ever seen in my life. If your 2 minutes and 30 seconds in and have to use pliers to open the box, your doing it wrong. I needed the comic relief today.

did you watch any of his other videos? he has one where he films the brim on a mcdonalds cup, says not a word, and demonstrates how the lid doesn't fit.

another where he accuses conan o'brien of messing up when he shows a "Row v. Wade" reference, and shows "vs." instead of "v." and challenges Conan to do something about it at the end.

this brentron guy is a real character.

If you ordered via Apple, go to the Order Details page (you'll have a link to it in your email), and click View/Hide Details in the bottom left. You'll probably have to sign in.

Then check the phone number associated with your Billing Details. Put that phone number in the "Shipment Reference" field under "Track by Reference" and click enter. no other details are needed.

Spence...

I still have not even received my tracking number. I placed my order at 3:07 a.m. EST on 9/14. My order status says, "Preparing for Shipment."

Go to ups.com select the tracking tab click, select track by reference. Use the phone number assisted to your contact info for your order

Thanx for help but I did both for FedEx and ups and under track by reference with phone number country and zip code and nothing ....... I ordered from sprint

Holy ****, that "awkward" unboxing ... first, get a ***** tripod or something, second ... edit out the part where you look like a moron who can't open a box!

The fact that it was "part 1" worries me.

Seriously. Let's see a review of the actual product! :)

I always laugh when I see UK electrical plugs. Those things are huge!

I always laugh when I see big, over-sized US domestic appliances that look like they should be hooked into 3-phase but end in those flimsy little plugs that spark like crazy when you plug them in, and leave "wall wart" power supplies dangling precariously from the socket...

I know it's "only" a cissy 110V rather than a proper British 240V, but that means twice the current for the same job => 4x the heating in plugs and cords.

Me, I like the idea of individually fused plugs (so you can use the appropriate fuse for the appliance), earth pins longer than the other pins and properly shuttered sockets (so the live terminal is covered until the earth pin goes in).

Of course, by now we ought to be seeing USB sockets with transformers built into the wall alongside the mains...

For anyone who is getting their iPhone via UPS

I found this message in the "Contact Us" page of UPS.

Important information for iPhone Customers
Apple has required that UPS deliver iPhone shipments to customers on and not before Friday, September 21, 2012. iPhone’s are scheduled for Friday, September 21 2012.

Why isn't my package moving? The packages are being staged in key locations and moved on a coordinated schedule for delivery on the shipper's planned release date, Friday, September 21, 2012.

I never watch an unboxing until I have received my phone. It kind of ruins some of the fun. Why can't I be one of the lucky ones that gets the phone delivered early???

Ordered mine at the same time, still no shipping notification. But they did charge me immediately which they usually don't do until it ships.
