They also get to do pre-orders at a sane 8PM. New Zealanders have all the luck...

Enjoy your new phones friends.

Well, the iPhone X starts at NZ$1,800.00 and we have no Apple Stores, nor Ikea, or local Amazon, often we're not in the first tier for tech releases, and flying anywhere costs a LOT, so it's not 100% roses :)

So how long until Face ID is easily bypassed in a mission critical security scenario? I can't even wait for this

If you're storing mission critical security info on a phone and protecting it with a face scan - you're doing it wrong.

Those are the first impression, granted to a select few by Apple to generate even more buzz. First impressions are not reviews. Looking for full in-depth reviews.
For whatever reason, Apple only gave three people in the entire US a full week to review the phone before the end of the embargo. Everyone else who got a phone only got them 24 hours before end of embargo. That's why there's so few full reviews so far. But more reviews will come in coming days. Kind of a weird way of doing things.

My phone was ordered minutes after my wife's - hers is being delivered in Australia to our phone dealer today - I have been advised that I will get weekly updates of the status of my phone...

Do you have a source for your criticism of the level of security provided by Apple's FaceID?

Interesting tidbits about Face ID thanks to @DeanLubaki link:

WHAT! HOW!? Not fair!! Mine has been Nov 17 - 24 since the beginning. It hasn't gone up at all :(
Yeah, mine was the same window. A couple days ago it changed to 16-24th (which was weird), then last night to the 8th, then this morning to the 6th according to UPS. At this rate it will show up tomorrow, lol. As to how, I'd reckon it's because I have a silver T-Mobile model, although it is 256GB. I think Apple thought silver would be a more popular choice since it has a black front and kinda looks a little like the original iPhone with the chrome band. At least that's why I wanted it. The black looks a bit boring and shows lots of finger print marks. It's probably also more likely to show scratches on the band. At least with bare stainless steel you can buff it out like the Apple Watch.

Time the Hobbits got an Apple Store! We could get coverage of the first Apple Store being opened ...

First wave iPhone X launch countries where the device is available starting on November 3 include Andorra, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Greenland, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Japan, Jersey, Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, the UK, the US and the US Virgin Islands.

Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man, Puerto Rico, and Virgin Islands are not countries.

PR and VI are in fact US territories.

North America the lastest? It should be the first one. Apple should not allow shipping and or selling worldwide until 8 am California time.

Plenty of iphone X in the stores here (NZ), wandered in mid-morning into Harvey Norman. Trouble is, the swines will only sell them on contract, not bare. This is a new trick they pulled with the 8 too, presumably since there's so little margin they don't bother to sell them without tacking a contract on the back. Stuff that, will wait for my proper one by post from Apple... although I did think about signing up and then using the 5-day cool-off period to cancel the contract :)

Congrats to those who've received theirs. Can't wait for tomorrow! I'm going to be on the lookout for that UPS truck...

My order must be stuck in an abyss. Still says "Order in progress - Delivers November 17 - November 24. (256 GB silver T-mobile).
