I wonder if Apple will go with the Google route and just sell off the hardware division of beats and just keep its subscription and service business.

Always can count on hifiguy to get anything beats super early, he loves beats and isn't ashamed of it at all and admits it al the time, love all his videos as well

Audiophiles will certainly appreciate the much improved sound signature.
Audiophiles wouldn't touch Beats Bluetooth headphones with a 10ft pole...

Cheap Chinese crap at 5000% markup. Maybe it was the margins that made Apple's eyes pop. Makes iPhone markup look like amateur.

They don't sound bad at all. It's the fact that they are overpriced all things considered. The new Beats line aren't as bad as they used to be.

Why is this news? Apple has not touched these. These are simply the Solo 2 but wireless. Your money is best spent on other pairs.

I like how you didn't bother reading the article.

Not a chance when there are far better quality phones out there. Read some reviews. As M.J. used to sing, "Beat it!"

I'm no Beats fan either but for $300 wireless headphones I'd sure like you to name a few "FAR BETTER" quality wireless headphones.

Beats seems so "un-Apple". They are garish at best....

Oh quite the contrary. They are a stylish product, shipped in a beautiful box with nice packaging and sold for a high price from a company that's best known for making products for music lovers. Very Apple-like.

lol these are ugly.

I will automatically judge all who buy/"wear" these, especially if said offender is not a 14 year old suburban kid or athlete getting paid to sport them..

I use the Studio Wireless because they serve a purpose and I like the sound signature. Oh, and by the way I'm an audiophile. :D

no thanks.... I stick with my Parrot Zik. And I'll be getting the Parrot Zik 2.0 version when they're ready.

http://www.parrot.com/zik/usa/

I bought Parrot Zik, Sony MDR-1RBT and Logitech UE9000's, tried them all side-by side for a month, returned the ones I didn't like.

Zik's look great and have a fantastic touch interface, but the battery life is extremely poor and the DSP way too heavy making the music sound synthetic, also they acoustically transmit loud footstep noise too much when walking.

Sony's had great battery life, very light, but no active noise cancellation and too much mid-range, they also have the habit to catch wind in the vents which makes a noise. If it wasn't for the oppressive mids, these were the best, despite the lack of sound cancellation.

The UE9000's destroyed both the Zik's and Sony's on sound quality, brining all types of music to life with a nice tight bass that's very present without being oppressive. They had a decent and non-intrusive active noise cancellation and the battery life was decent, but they are very heavy, and the controls could be more intuitive.

I stuck with the UE's for the sound...

Any word on how long the battery lasts with an iPhone?

I've gone a couple of days before wall charging them up. However, they claim the charge will last up to 12 hours wirelessly and 20 hours if you wire up to a device.:apple:

Yeah, those UE9000's are pretty good. They're some good choices out there!
