I can name you a better pair of wireless headphones for $160 dollars; Sony's MDR-XB950BT.

It even has a bass boost on the headphones themselves for the basshead in you. They just came out and are probably on the level of the Beats Studios sans noise canceling (in terms of "class" not Sound Quality, these are better in SQ). The are also OVER the ear for more comfort and the padding is super soft. These blow any pair of Beats headphones out of the water for MUCH less money.

The Sony MDR-10RBT retails for $200. While not a Bass headphone they have a clean neutral sound and are very light and also over the ear. I'd liken them to a Grado SR-80 with a tinge more bass. Owned a pair for about 9 months. Sold them cause I bought the XB950BT.

For an On Ear pair of headphones which is equivalent to a Solo2 Wireless there are the MDR-BTN200 You can find them for well under $100 bucks. They aren't bass heavy but have a 40 hour battery life. Generally neutral sounding a flat but as far as for the $ well more worth it than the Solo2. Still have these. They are my kicker BT headphones for running. I think I've charged them 3 times in the last year I've owned them.

Jabra REVO Highly rated BT headphone, Great bass clean sounds. Only $150. Never owned these, always wanted a pair. Reviews on them are really positive.

Would you like me to go on?

No need for you to go on. :). However it remains to be heard and tried that those Sonys you recommended make better wireless headphones for $100 less than the Beats. My issue with Sony is they severely tend to cut corners at the customer's expense. If you don't spend good money on Sony it generally ends up as crap on a stick. I would have to listen to them. Again, I'm no Beats fan and I do know most of the money being charged for them comes from Dre's name being on the box which is just one of the reasons I will stay away from Beats.

May God bless the self-proclaimed "golden ears." They know not what jerks they are. However these types of threads are entertaining to read.

Jerks? Why is a person who loves good sound and enjoys the hifi hobby a jerk? I love helping people find good sound and value in music reproduction. I am not a jerk...jerk :p

First Look at the New Beats Solo2 Wireless Headphones

You probably have well tuned filters that keep you from seeing the eye rolling and long-suffering looks of the people you are 'helping' find good sound.

Apple does seem to be trying very hard to go after that demographic.

They're "cool" ya know. Hm.. just who is the gold watch really aimed at? Dre be Dre! my homie!!!

luvin it lol luvin

Oh, right, ghetto stereotypes... Never heard those before... Most people I see with them are skinny somewhat wealthy white kids in the suburbs... Guess they should tan more to fit into this bigoted view.

so what's the difference between these and the studio wireless pro? only the noise cancellation feature?

The 3 I brought up I've used. I've also used the 1RBT but for the price of them I wasn't a fan.

I just received a flyer from Sony. The 950BTs I recommended will be $99 from 11/23 to 12/1; a friggin' steal in my opinion. I've tested the Beat Solo2 before and they're not bad. But the XBs I have now blow them out of the water in price and quality IMO.

No. To inform.

Cues to any of our senses are subjective. I think Durian tastes good, my wife thinks it tastes like rotten onions.

Your information isn't needed as it is obvious. You basically came to troll and cease any discussion.

The most annoying part about my Beats Studio (v2) Wireless is the fact that I have to use Micro-USB for charging instead of Lightning. I hope Apple will toss a Lightning port on these as I've got Lightning cables lined up all-round my apartment but no Micro-USB. Having to put up one extra just for the sake of my girlfriend and I using Beats Studio Wireless with our iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.

In terms of overall looks, feel, ergonomics and audio quality the Beats Studio (v2) Wireless is quite good. The audio quality is not on pair with my high-end Westone 4R IEM's but they are quite good. The noise cancellation is good.

The New Studio was designed by Ammunition, not Apple. I'm sure the next version should be by Apple since they fired Ammunition after the acquisition.

Yes... that's quality. Like it. So much better Quality/Cost ratio....

I'll have to try those. (y)

so what's the difference between these and the studio wireless pro? only the noise cancellation feature?

Studio Wireless are around the ear and with active noise canceling. No Wireless Pro yet.

"Audiophiles", so that's who's buying these things.

If they have an open mind. ;)

Of course Apple won't bother with apt-X as it's not supported on iOS devices, however they should at least include their own AAC standard...

I was wondering about this. I saw it posted a few times that these don't support apt-x but then i thought maybe apple was supporting it on their other hardware now. It seems they don't. I was also wondering, since this is just a codec, they could, conceivably, add support for it on their idevices, right? Or have they already come out and said they will not support apt-x?

Sounds like a New England journal of medicine publication right there #
Doesn't evolution theory ring a bell to you guys? Why do you think monkeys still have long hair everywhere and we don't? ;)

(hint : clothing...)

Got mine today from Verizon. Very comfortable (I haven't gone bald in the past three hours). I find the Beats Solo2 Wireless headphones design 'appealing' and they sound freakin' fantastic! They have CHUTZPAH! (advanced audiophile jargon). I have the ATH M50 (not X)... and I swear by them, but the Solo2 are a welcome addition to my collection of headphones. Perfect for a full range of genres from Jazz to Prog Rock to Classical. The sound field is ever-so-full; the center is centered; separation is there (and there); Highs are never muddied by mids or bass (more audiophile jargon)... please listen to these (wherever you can) with your fave music and an open mind (and an open ApplePay).

I don't know how anyone can praise or desecrate a product without trying them first.

BTW, My Italian sauce & meatball recipe is the best on earth! a-chah... A-CHAH!!!
