Does anyone know what this little pill shape is for under the Mac Studio?

Also, notice how it says made in Malaysia 🇲🇾 and not China 🇨🇳, that’s interesting.

Dave2D says that’s the kensington lock slot, which makes sense. I guess the only way would be through the rubber bottom ring?

20 years later this is probably the closest we’ve gotten to Jobs’ vision for the G4 cube. A computer positioned between consumer macs and high-end workstations contained in a miniaturized cube.

This was such a cool and fascinating era in Apple's design. Wish I hadn't been 5 years old when that cube came out so I could've bought one! :p

I’m in the US and mine is sitting 20 miles away at the UPS facility and has been there all afternoon yet I’m scheduled for a Monday delivery.
You can make adjustments on your UPS online account to have them hold it at the central hub with ‘hold delivery’. If you haven’t created an account, you can do that in like….less than five minutes. It’s that easy.

maybe from foxconn johor, malaysia . Re-pakaging maybe.

Amd, Intel Factory also in malaysia anyway , before i read somewhere nintendo also making switch here.

For your information , apple contract manufacturing is all around the world .Please refer to list below by apple

I am glad I held off as I want a Pro capability that IS upgradeable. The new Studio Display is lacking in a lot of areas IMHO.
I read the early reviews and cancelled my order for the Studio Display and the Studio Max. My 2020 Intel iMac works just fine for the time being. Let's see if Apple straightens out the issues with the display.

Maybe I missed it during the keynote, but does the Mac Studio have any built-in speakers? I know it’s hard an all-in-one device, but a decent built-in speaker system would be a nice feature.

It is officially March 18 in Australia and New Zealand, which means that it's Mac Studio and Studio Display launch day. Customers in these countries are always the first to get their hands on new devices, and Apple's new studio devices are being delivered.

The Mac Studio and Studio Display are starting to arrive to customers who pre-ordered when the devices went up for sale following the "Peek Performance" event, and customers will soon begin to share their photos on Twitter, Instagram, and the MacRumors forums.

New Zealand does not have Apple Stores, so Australian customers will be the first who are able to pick up a Studio Display or Mac Studio at a retail location, provided Apple has stock. Availability in Australia will give us an idea of what we can expect from other stores worldwide.

Apple will likely sell stock configurations of the Studio Display and the Mac Studio at its retail stores, with pricing beginning at $1,599 for the Studio Display and $1,999 for the Mac Studio. Supplies of both devices were limited on ordering day, so retail stores may also have limited quantities.

If you try to order a Mac Studio or Studio Display online, the order won't ship until April, so a retail store is now the only way to get a launch day device.

Following New Zealand and Australia, sales of the MacBook Pro will begin in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and then North America. Apple Stores‌ globally are opening up right around 9:00 or 10:00 a.m. local time to allow customers to pick up reserved devices and make walk-in purchases.

Today also marks the delivery of the first iPhone SE and iPad Air models, though those are mostly iterative updates and not quite as exciting as the new studio product lines.

Have a new Mac Studio or Studio Display? Share pictures below and let us know what you think of your new device.

Studio display arrived today. Feels like an updated 27 inch iMac (which it kind of is). If you listen to any kind of music that has a sub bass in it, speakers no bueno. Otherwise does what it says on the tin

Well you’d be sorry to buy the Cube as it was a horrible product. Fanless and silent, sure. But too slow and overheat all the time. It’s a great piece of contemporary furniture.

Not so much as a computer.

Yes, the Studio computer does have a built-in speaker.

So basically the 12-inch MacBook, which was also fanless and was prone to thermal throttling.

Arriving in Hong Kong as well (not my photo, snatched this from our local forum).
Ours are made in China not Malay. Apple retail store walk-in purchase are available, but the Ultra models are gone already.
