Well, the siri dictate engine still seems to be a bit flakey, when I asked it a question about MacOS it wrote this as Narcos and then became confused. A few other tests have also been hit and miss (eg Claude Sonnet became Claude Sonic which is kind of an interest thing to visualize)

The biggest annoyance for me is that Apple doesn't allow you to run Xcode 26 on macOS 27, and they don't allow app updates archived on Xcode 27. Now I'm sitting on a major feature update for my app that I can't publish until September.

If anyone knows a solid technical reason why Xcode 26 isn't allowed on macOS 27, I'm all ears. Otherwise, I'm calling BS on this.
Its annoying. But you can use Xcode Cloud or Xcode 26 in a Tahoe VM.

So far I've found very little that doesn't work. I'm on an M4 Max Studio. Finder is snappy. Mail does seem to have better search, or at least I'm just getting lucky with my search terms. It has not been this good before from my memory. In Apple Photos the new extend and reframe can get a little, well, creative, but I expected that. It is quite amazing to see with my own photos. It does quite a good job.

No internet working at first, but I disabled all VPN and firewalls and then it worked again. Little Snitch cut out until I installed the nightly build. After turning it off and on again NextDNS works.

Logic Pro works, with a relatively large number of plugins.

The Apps icon sometimes only brings up a search bar, but after typing a letter and backspacing, it provides the full list. The full list doesn't seem to allow a single click to open an app, but once an app is selected the return key, or a double click does. Right-clicking (or option-clicking) the Safari icon doesn't provide the usual new window options.

Really, I'm trying to find issues and can't find many. It's running at a cool 115°-125°.

Would like to hear more about the issue that has been mentioned once or twice about Spaces. As a user of Spaces sounds like this might be a deal breaker for jumping in till maybe that gets sorted out in hopefully next beta.

I've just noticed my contacts aren't syncing to iCloud either way, so check this in case it's not only me with this issue and it's something you need!

Contacts on my phone (also running the latest iOS 27 beta) have no issue.

Edit: passwords also weren't syncing, although everything else was fine. I logged out of iCloud completely, rebooted, and logged back in again. All's working - so probably a glitch that might have nothing to do with the beta.

installed it on the M1pro MacBook. right away, scrolling is much smoother in safari. corners still seem offensively rounded though

Woohoo! A departure from unpronounceable destinations that leave people from outside the US going 'oooookay...'
Globally, more people speak Spanish NATIVELY than English. (English is the most widely spoken but only one quarter of people who speak English speak it natively, i.e. for the other three quarters English is their second, third, etc language). So, Tahoe, Sonoma, Ventura, El Capitan, Monterey, Catalina, Sierra all have Spanish or even deeper Latin origins. Then count the other Latin languages that have common roots: Ventura comes from Latin. French 'aventurer', Italian same word 'ventura'). French and Italian 'capitan', same. Panther->Pantera. Jaguar->Jaguar. Tiger->Tigre. Puma->Puma

I believe people outside the US find these these names not only pronounceable, but recognizable.

1,000s? Please send some of them my way. My 2000 tacoma is in the shop, my 2004 is burning oil, and my 2008 was totaled last week.
I hear you. My 2015 is eating through a ton of oil as well. Shop wants me to spend more than the car is worth to repair it, so I told them to stuff it and just deal with it until it's dead.

Anyone seeing MS Office 365 updater issues on PB1? I can't 100% determine that the failing installs are related, but the problem started around the time I upgraded.

No, it's a MS problem that has nothing to do with Golden Gate. It started happening for me a day or two ago and I'm still running Tahoe.

"Tahoe" in U.S. English is very easy to pronounce, accent on the "e": "Taaaa-who-eeeeee!" like a person on a swing or jumping off a cliff.

Uhh, after living my entire 50-51 years a couple hours away from the lake, not to mention the misses happens to be the account controller for the company that manages the Tahoe Keys and has to spend a bit of time there, there is no 'eeeeeee'.

It's pronounced TAH-HO.

@MacGizmo - just checked mine on Tahoe, mine installed 26071325 on July 14th with no trouble. I only have Word and Excel installed here though.

Changing to the "Beta" stream in the MS updater app finally fixed this for me. FYI.
Yeah, I thought of that as well. Unfortunately, none of the three options worked. I also went to my MS Account page and re-downloaded and installed the apps and it still won't update.

The only thing I haven't tried is completely removing all signs of MS products from the Mac and THEN installing. But I'm not convinced enough that there isn't some sort of issue going on that won't work itself out eventually to bother with that amount of effort (since the apps are working just fine as is).
