I thought I did too, but I started realizing how much real estate it takes up. Better to go back to the old style tbh from a practical standpoint. Especially noticeable on my smaller 13" screen.
Actually with the reduced corner radius in GG, floaty doesn’t look as bad. You can use the terminal commands that turn it off in Tahoe to turn it back on in GG.

Well, the siri dictate engine still seems to be a bit flakey, when I asked it a question about MacOS it wrote this as Narcos and then became confused. A few other tests have also been hit and miss (eg Claude Sonnet became Claude Sonic which is kind of an interest thing to visualize)

The biggest annoyance for me is that Apple doesn't allow you to run Xcode 26 on macOS 27, and they don't allow app updates archived on Xcode 27. Now I'm sitting on a major feature update for my app that I can't publish until September.

If anyone knows a solid technical reason why Xcode 26 isn't allowed on macOS 27, I'm all ears. Otherwise, I'm calling BS on this.
Its annoying. But you can use Xcode Cloud or Xcode 26 in a Tahoe VM.

Once they remove the debug code

So far I've found very little that doesn't work. I'm on an M4 Max Studio. Finder is snappy. Mail does seem to have better search, or at least I'm just getting lucky with my search terms. It has not been this good before from my memory. In Apple Photos the new extend and reframe can get a little, well, creative, but I expected that. It is quite amazing to see with my own photos. It does quite a good job.

No internet working at first, but I disabled all VPN and firewalls and then it worked again. Little Snitch cut out until I installed the nightly build. After turning it off and on again NextDNS works.

Logic Pro works, with a relatively large number of plugins.

The Apps icon sometimes only brings up a search bar, but after typing a letter and backspacing, it provides the full list. The full list doesn't seem to allow a single click to open an app, but once an app is selected the return key, or a double click does. Right-clicking (or option-clicking) the Safari icon doesn't provide the usual new window options.

Really, I'm trying to find issues and can't find many. It's running at a cool 115°-125°.

Would like to hear more about the issue that has been mentioned once or twice about Spaces. As a user of Spaces sounds like this might be a deal breaker for jumping in till maybe that gets sorted out in hopefully next beta.

I've just noticed my contacts aren't syncing to iCloud either way, so check this in case it's not only me with this issue and it's something you need!

Contacts on my phone (also running the latest iOS 27 beta) have no issue.
