haha... that guy eating the toast looks really creepy! apple should defo use this image in their ad campaigns...

This could all be pre-release marketing purposely 'leaked' by Apple to keep up interest, and spark more interest. :p

Oh well - it's fun to go around and around in circles hey? :apple:

excellent.

Also Peace, you'd hate to see my parents freezer right now. Why you ask, I'll tell you: 150lbs in Ground Beef, Roasts and Stakes. MMMM BEEF!!!!

I only do this to make a point, no one asked you about your eating habits, no one cares about your eating habits. That simple.

omg, now I have seen it all. This thread has gone from an iPhone camera discussion to what kinds of food people eat? LMAO

not gonna be fired

...come on, if these are real, then apple leaked them and no1 is gonna get fired, its all about getting ppl hyped up for it.

btw, great quaility if they're real, my k790 sucks compared to these, and it has 3.2 mgpxls

I don't buy that for one second, sorry.

I have a SonyErricson K800i, out for over a year, that takes pics at 3.2MP with a proper zenon flash. I can send the pictures I take at 3.2MP res to other phones, and the comparatively limited software will downscale the pic automatically, or offer me the option, before I send the message.

So your argument is just void, since uncomplicated phones can do the simple things which the iPhone should take in it's stride. The reason for leaving out at least a 3.2mp camera is beyond me, and regardless if some individuals will use it or not - I enjoy the fact I can take out one piece of hardware to take very good shots, that will beat the iPhone, and on a whim.

None of the arguments presented so far, justify using a weaker lens than what can be used.

Maybe the fact that I have a 13MP DSLR makes me not care about the image quality that my phone produces images at.

um ... it that a boy or a girl ... ?

& OMG ... that is one UGLY piece o' toast !! (quivers)

you'd never catch me putting anything like that near my mouth (let alone my iPhone) ... these photos look disturburbing and that red sh*t looks spooky ...

my bet - this is bullsh*t - anyone can edit EXIF data.

Should you guys really be reporting on this when the person in question is likely to get fired because of it? I mean, publishing rumours is on thing, but haven't you guys ever heard of ethics in journalism? It would be simple enough to state that "Mac Rumours has independentally confirmed that the photos are authentic" without publishing the department and team on which the person works. Don't most journalists usually refrain from outting thier sources in the interest of integrity and their effort to preserve effectiveness of the First Ammendment? ThinkSecret went to court to preserve this right for all of the rumour sites and you guys have just sort of tossed that effort out the window with this one. I'd advise any Apple insiders to stay clear of providing content to you guys in the future.

Oh, there's so much to pick apart here.

First, I don't think they're outing the source, because the source isn't the person who took the pictures. The source is the person who found the pictures on Flickr.

Second, regarding the "ethics in journalism": Considering you didn't write like a journalist, I'm assuming you aren't actually a journalist and you don't have quite as much authority regarding ethical guidelines as you've implied. I'm in the same boat so I can't point out exactly what the difference is between your version and the real one, but I would be very surprised if this was an example of MR violating some universally recognized code of ethics for journalism. These pictures were not sent in by a whistleblower who wanted to expose corruption, they were from a person who found some publicly available images after cleverly searching for a certain string.

Third, regarding the statement: "I'd advise any Apple insiders to stay clear of providing content to you guys in the future." Are you a lawyer as well as a journalist? Most people who assume a lot of authority in several specialized areas tend to have very little authority in any area.

The question is, while he is eating the toast, is the life meter going up or down? If only we had the first Apple iPhone video! :D

You'd think his manna meter would be going up. I also find it interesting that he has an iPhone and toast in his inventory and he's able to use both at once! Everything I've read indicated that the iPhone would be a two-handed item, like the Bastard Sword.

No GeoTagging?

I imported the photo into iPhoto. All the EXIF data came with it. I turned on iPhoto's GeoTagging (InfoPanel.nib) and it looks like the iPhone doesn't support GeoTagging. That's disappointing.
