Wow. It looks fantastic. I love the restored wrought iron work in the interior arches.

Seriously tempted to pop along on Saturday morning for a look.

From that story: "The scheme won planning permission from Westminster City Council in October 2008 despite objections from English Heritage and a recommendation for refusal by the councils own planning officers."

I think that describes quite well what I was trying to describe earlier in the thread about planning in this country. I love old architecture and history, but what possible reason would English Heritage have to object to the fantastic work Apple appear to have executed here? They really are a bunch of tweed-wearing, fusty old gits and I'm very glad they were overruled.

I know I've seen similar things in Manchester arndale store. The thing i hate the most is the kids just messing with iPhones and iPads. (they should ban kids without there parents)

Correct, and people who can't spell.

It would be nice if they opened a store here in Oslo. It would fit really well with the way the city is developing.
Yes please!
Apple, how about opening Retail Stores in more countries instead of just opening more and more stores in the same countries?

One in Oslo would be nice.
Just to say, there are plenty of cities much smaller than Oslo (600.000 inhabitants) which have one or even two stores...

I woke at 05:30 to travel to Covent Garden reasonably early - by the time I arrived there were probably 500 people queuing  Bagged a free t-shirt though :) Nice building, definitely a better use than the old Rock Garden, even if I did meet Nick Cave there many moons ago

Was caught on loads of video cameras, unfortunately including Alex Riley's which means I'll probably be part of a piss-take on Apple fanboys coming to a TV in the UK near you soon  :p
