because its probably the most hyped iPhone yet.

Leaks? Free press? hype?

Don't see other phones/devices getting this much.

----------

Or this could be simply be a control leak of the fake iPhone.....

or you could keep dreaming...

Why the hell would Apple spend money creating a fake product?

Really OP. Who really cares ? Not me and most who have a life. ;)

Well thanks for taking a moment out of your busy day to post your special thoughts on a web forum, in a thread you don't care about.

Do note, however, that the vast majority of the world does not post on any web forums, let alone in threads they don't care about, probably because they have a life.

Fear not though. Your goal of appearing more important and smarter than me is a resounding success. I will hereby spend the rest of my days in search of this "life" you speak of.

LOL! Owned!

Occasionally members lose touch about what this user to user forum is all about, and are a little too quick to retort, and roll their eyes.

If I read a thread and think the subject material is weak, then I either move on or reply with something constructive.

Seems as though Apple is giving the people a "taste" of what to expect. Maybe the new Apple logic is to show the product before launch so the people 'grow' to like it.

I never said there weren't other leaked phones, I said this was the most leaked. Nearly every single day there's a new photo. Back with the 3G, we clinged to a couple of blurry photos for months.

And I don't know what Apple's internal size has to do with leaks from suppliers. If anything, as a bigger company, they should be able to exert tighter control.

My point remains; if your company leaked parts when Steve was running things, you risked the wrath of Steve personally. A ranting phone call from SJ went a long way towards getting things done.

Thing is, the quality of cameras in phones has increased dramatically. The lenses are better made, the sensors are of better quality. So the pictures are less blurry.

The leaks are generally by employees who are most likely breaking company rules. So they aren't going to smuggle in a compact or DSLR camera. These will be mobile phone pics.

I wouldn't say the phone is more leaked. And who knows this may be a ruse by apple to find out who is leaking stuff they shouldn't... Stranger things have happened ;)

I remember seeing tons of leak articles with detailed info on the previous iPhones. I'm worried about Tim Cook's lack of innovation ability compared to Steve Jobs, though. For now, Apple doesn't have to innovate and shouldn't, but the time will come.

Are you crazy? The entire iPhone 4 was found in a bar prior to release. The ENTIRE phone. I'd call that the biggest leak ever.

Good. This is a dumb post. Worrying about a Post Job leak. Good grief.

I'd like to note that I like both iOS and Android devices, but... If a new Samsung or HTC phone leaked, who would care? Tech sites would report it, sure, but only a few geeks would read that, right? For example, here's a very recent HTC leak. It's on some tech blogs and people will talk about it on the xda forums. But the major news isn't going to report that.

On the other hand, that iPhone 4 prototype Gizmodo got their hands on? It was covered by all major news outlets. It was on TV, in the papers, everything. Everyone was talking about it. And whenever any new iPhone comes out? Again, it's all over the news, everyone knows about it.

Likewise, this "iPhone 5" has been generating news stories in actual papers too, despite the fact we've only seen a few parts and no full leak. If parts from a Samsung or HTC leaked, no one would care but a few geeks reading the tech blogs.

My point is that even the mere fact these rumours are being reported beyond our relatively small community shows that Apple is still very strong. And when that new iPhone comes out, it will be all over the news just like new iPhones always are. Not new Samsungs or HTCs or BlackBerries but new iPhones.

Apple is one of the strongest consumer brands in the world and that isn't changing any time soon.

First post-Jobs iPhone is the most leaked.
How was "most leaked" determined? As other posters have pointed out, it only seems to be based on the OP's dubious recollection.

Every year, Apple faces more and more competition, as other products from other companies that do essentially the same thing become commonplace. Eventually Apple could become just another Samsung or Sony, for whose products there is nearly zero launch hype and zero lines.
Typical armchair analyst commentary. This has been posted about every company out there since discussion forum sites first popped up. How does A lead to B? Not only if the premise of this thread based on dubious recollection but the first part of your post is led to its conclusion by dubious reasoning.

Where's the sales impact from these leaks ruining Apple's business? How are you determining that there is a trend of failure at Apple? Since when does Samsung have zero launch hype? Samsung is doing quite well if you'll take off your personal preference blinders.
