I’m more worried about dings on this watch than scratches. Scratches can be polished out With a refinishing pad. That makes its restoration more akin to the SS watch. But it’s likely not as durable as the SSSB (RIP non-Hermes variants).

I have an SE gen 1. It has some scratches on the band connection parts. Really small.

I would expect the ultra to be durable as hell, but for what I read it’s a delicate expensive machine

I really like the Ultra. It’s a much needed change of pace, but hearing about various scratches from owners with light usage in less than a day are concerning as is the durability of the GPS/Cellular band material.

I love the durability of the SS model (owned every year except Series 5 ceramic which was also flawless). For SS if there are any issues I just buff them out with a cape cod cloth.

I’m gonna give it the rest of the weekend, but I may just decide to keep my Hermes SS7 and save some money for once.
If you’re already worried about scratches, do yourself a favor & just return it. Seems like you’re looking a dress watch. This isn’t it.
