The original iPhone came with a dock. I'm tired of some people defending apple for leaving stuff out of the next iterations of their products. I know it saves them some cost.

The original iPhone also cost $499 for a 4GB iPhone that came with a dock. I'd rather spend $330 for a 32GB iphone and a dock that comes separately.

The reason I suppose it's not included in the new iPhone is that it is microsim. Before when people got a 3G or 3Gs, they may just swap the SIM cards. There isn't much need to swap a microsim.

Number of times I have removed my sim: whenever my phone dies and my mother's is functional because she never uses it. (Although I have never used a sim ejector tool)
Number of times I have used the cleaning cloth: at least once a week. It lives in my center console in my car.

Ugh... why doesn't Apple just sell their cleaning cloth?
It was extremely awesome!

I recently bought two iPhone clothes at the Apple store. Pretty expensive ($1300 and $2200), but on the upside they shipped with a 13" and 15" MBP in the box.
:D

The Apple Cleaning Cloth was actually the best cloth I ever used to clean my iPhone. It was the only one that got the job done and I lost it.......
I bought a cleaning kit at the Apple Store and that cloth didn't come close to what the Apple cleaning cloth did for my phone.
It was the perfect cleaning cloth. R.I.P.
It bugged me when the iPhone 3GS didn't come with one.

Worth 4 dollars? http://cgi.ebay.com/Apple-microfiber-cleaning-cloth-Brand-New-/140417178139?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Other_MP3_Player_Accessories&hash=item20b1841a1b#ht_889wt_1139

Those microfiber cloths were a great thing to include. I still use the three Aple-provided cloths that I got (from my iPhone, iPhone 3G, and MacBook Pro. Especially when purchased in bulk, they couldn't have been that expensive to stop including them. The SIM ejector tool was useful for me once, too. I have missed the included microfiber cloth with the iPhone 3GS, the iPad, and now the iPhone 4.

Huh, I opened my old iPhone 3G box and realized I never took out the headset. Thanks OP!

I was dissappointed today to find no sim tool, and here is why.

My 3G is jailbroken and tethers internet to my laptop. Until I can get my i4 to do this, I still need to use my 3G. I didn't bring my tool with me to work, didn't think I'd need it.

Found no new tool in the box. I couldn't eject it with a paperclip, OR push pin. Unlike my 3G, they seemed too big. I had to borrow a sewing needle from a coworker.

The good news is, the sim adapter did work in the 3G and it fired right up.

I think we need someone to come through here and wasteland all these silly threads, get the board clear of this nonsense.
