What's next is already in the box: a phone with a defective antenna.

If this was any other brand the users would revolt. But not the "Apple Faithful".

Steve Jobs has created this walled garden of power & control over his followers, and they follow like lemmings. Why they stop thinking for themselves & blindly worship him is quite amusing.

This has happened with other phones, check the front page. Other users didn't result. The only reason this is such big news, on the CNN front page, is because this is Apple.

uk iphones all came with SIM ejectors from the dozen or so that I have seen.

oh that and the factory sim Unlock !

who cares? Do you not own a paperclip?

In all honesty, this actually caused me a problem yesterday. Had to spend 30 minutes hunting for a paperclip, we just don't have any use for 'em at home. I do find it a bit weird though that the iMac comes with a cleaning cloth and the iPhone doesn't, seems back-to-front that...

Not read the whole thread, but in case its not already been mentioned, the UK iPhone 4 does come with a sim ejector tool. I guess this is due to the UK devices being unlocked, and not tied to AT&T

Umm, mine didn't.... just the plug, USB cable, earplugs, small pouch with documentation and Apple stickers.

The unlock iphone and 'Unlock' the micro SIM tray

LOL

This is why we have the SIM tray ejector in UK

Anything can be used as a sim ejector tool (I used a bent staple).

I must have at least 5 microfiber cloths laying around in drawers.

I had to laugh because i couldn't believe there would be a thread devoted to something as trivial as this. Are we really grasping at straws here trying to find reasons to complain?

Get out the "Whine" And cut the cheese. There are many methods to eject the sim card tray if you didn't get a tool. And cleaning cloth? Most Self respecting geeks will have a microfiber cloth or two laying around. :D
