Once you arrive please let us know how the new airport in Berlin is working:D
HAHA!! I went to Berlin in March 2015 ... I think we flew into Schönefeld ... we could see the new airport as we walked to the train station (from memory)!

I have a series 5 cellular which was purchased outright for me as a present from my wife.
On O2 I pay £5 per month for the cellular connection, Vodafone I believe are £7. EE at £10 is just crazy!

Very useful ... thanks 👍

No problem.
For a fiver a month I’m of the opinion it’s well worth the price so that I can keep connected while I’m out for a run, bike ride, the beach or whatever else I fancy without having to carry my phone and risk losing it. The AirPods are a great addition too.

Is the new airport in operation? I flew out of Schönefeld once. They don't make em like that any more. Thank God. Kind of an interesting experience, however.

It will open in a few weeks after being 9 years late and 4 billion Euros over budget. Not the usual efficiency Germany is known for.

Wonderful! I like the navy colour too but I also like the Nike straps so I am likely going to get the Nike watch. I have never owned a Fitbit, but having been running 3-4 times a week for the last six months and thus would so enjoy having an Apple watch and be free of wires too! Have you got the Airpods Pro out of interest for listening to music whilst using the watch? Regarding the sleeping, I currently use Sleep Cycle on my iphone which is probably not as good as the data the Apple watch tells you, but still interesting. Also it means you don't have to wear the watch when you go to bed. Something I would do. Are you finding the brightness of the screen ok and battery life?

My personal preference is to get the watch I like and buy bands separately if that is the only reason to get one particular watch (I don’t run or listen to music from watch) and no, I don’t have AirPods (but I hear they are good, just don’t want to spend that much) I use other earbuds though and it works great - I listen to audiobooks. I didn’t like the monthly cost of Sleep cycle to get history trends and I do sleep with watch on. I find the screen brightness great, I’ve been out in direct sun and can see screen as clearly as indoors. And for me battery like is good, I charge every other day just before bed.

I got my first Apple Watch last week. I got the Nike Edition as like yourself I like the bands they come with.

I used to be a serious runner and always had a Garmin watch but I’ve not Been running much the last few years so I decided to get the AW And try get back into fitness after really turning my back on it.

I really like it. It’s inspired me to get back into fitness and I am quite addicted to getting those rings closed. I understand it’s probably a bit of new watch syndrome thats causing this but I can hopefully create good habits with it.

I like being able to glance at notifications and see what’s happening and see if I need to get my phone out.

Wow someone deleted my reply. LOL!!! Touchy, touchy. It’s not as if I didn’t offer some helpful advice first. My advice still stands, on both counts, though. The former more than the latter to be sure. But both were helpful. LOL!!! I’ll add a third since I’m feeling generous. Get an alternative charging source. I have two. Satechi and Pantheon. They serve different purposes, but both are essential to me.

For me one of the biggest paradigm shifts was simply just not dragging my phone all over the house with me. I usually leave my phone on the Qi charge pad on the kitchen side-counter and go about my routine. I can still set reminders / add to lists with Siri, I can see notification popups, receive/acknowledge texts, see who's calling and whether I need to go to my phone, etc.

That’s how my doctor does things. She’s leaves her phone on a dock in a central location equal distanced between all of her exam rooms. It works perfectly for her.

Thank you for your reply. I am looking at buying the Nike watch as 1) mainly buying the watch for running and listening to music etc and 2) I like the Nike straps which have the small circular hole design. Allowing the skin to 'breathe'! I think I will pay the extra £100 and go for the cellular. You never know when it might come in handy, and I think it would be a shame not to have this feature.

I also bought the cellular version because I wanted the option to use it. It's really nice not to be tethered to your phone around the house while still be able to read and reply to messages.

I charge the watch once a day, usually when I take a shower, and I'm impressed by how much it charges in a short period of time. I don't think I've had my battery go below 50%, and my usage is probably in the low-medium range. I use Do Not Disturb or Theater mode a few times during the day when I don't want any distractions.
