sketchbook express same as artrage pro

Sketchbook express is a lame version of artrage pro. Artrage pro has more options and is more realistic.

As far as games,

Angry Birds - $9.99 (currently on sale for $4.99)
Osmos - $9.99
Enigmo - $14.99
Bejeweled - $19.99

these same titles are available on the iPhone for $2.99 or less and on the iPad for $4.99 or less, other than angry birds (first game I bought), I don't see the need to pay a third time for a game I already have on my iPhone and iPad. Mac Apps are another story, I have found some new applications for a reasonable price that I might not have discovered previously.

So far I'm liking the idea of having a unified place to purchase applications.

Agree with you there.... too many apps I looked at looked nice... but over priced IMO... a collage app for $30?

There is an app that I would like to buy - YummySoup. Great deal at $15 over the $30 listed on their website... Got a couple emails over my concerns about using it with my iPad. Kudos for such response during launch day.

Yet when I pressed the need to use my iPad, I was suggested to use the print to PDF. Given that they require $10 to upgrade to version 2.x from 1.x - wonder what they may want to make the desktop app work with the iOS devices....

I'm not saying that these apps have to be $.99-$4.99, I understand developing/coding is time consuming and developers need to make a living. My point was (and I'm going to use Osmos as an example), if I paid $2.99 for the iPhone app and $4.99 for the iPad app, I don't see the incentive to paying $9.99 for the same iOS app ported over to the Mac, when the Mac version offers no additional functionality or levels, the same goes for Enigmo ($14.99).

I'm not saying every app is the same way, and I'm sure its not going to stay this way for long (this is just like when Apple opened the iOS App Store in 2008). Right now developers are trying to profit from early adopters.

True - the same game with no features added should not insanely increase the price. Aperture is also a nice example of prices going down in the MAS. So if it is just a port of a simple iOS game, they should stick with the price. The problem is that traditional desktop applications are often much more complex but many people still expect iOS like prices.

Hey!

Just installed Mac App Store and spent about an hour searching trough countless of apps desperately to find even ONE, just one app to install on my Mac, even for a quick test.

But I didn´t find anything interesting and didn´t want to install anything on my Mac.

Is there something wrong with me?

By the way, I have about 100 apps installed on my iPhone and love them all.

Weird!

Tere aren't many free apps due to the limit of not having the chance of using shareware, demo, trial and no supports for ads.

However I installed Caffeine so I can have my Air close and charge my iPhone still. :)

When do you guys think Apple will start to include their own pro apps in the App Store? I'm trying to buy Final Cut Studio, but don't have enough money yet.
How much do you think the FCS apps will cost in the App Store?
