There was one midnight M2Air at the reseller to look at, just snowed in as I was curious. For me, under the store lighting it was just all too black. I did like the form factor but coming from an ancient (silver) 15 inch MBP I couldn't live with the screen size as sole machine anyway. As a 2nd travel unit it probably be silver or space grey for me.

Bumping this again. For anyone looking for an easy fix for not scuffing the Midnight color and also getting rid of the pesky fingerprints I bought the following on Amazon.

1. USB-C Magnetic Adaptor - Prevents the constant pulling in and out of the USB-C port that causes the scuffs. I purchased this particular one because it was black.

2. USB-C Black Caps - Covers up the ports to protect from damage, also will cover up any scratching that may occur in the future.

3. Apple Polishing Cloth - To keep those pesky finger prints off the laptop and keep it, looking its best.

I don’t think I’m very good with color, nor do I think this statement is super logical, but: having looked at all of the colors in person, I think it was a real mistake for Apple not to color match the case and keyboard. I ended up buying a midnight model, and while I truly love the color, a dark blue case and a black keyboard look bad together. The other color I debated was starlight, but the beauty of its light yet warm tone is offset by the harshness of the keyboard. Having a black keyboard with silver and space gray has never bothered me, but it does with midnight and starlight.

I agree. Wished Apple had matching or maybe contrasting keys for these colors. Heck, I'm disappointed they didn't follow the iMac color model for this release.

A was torn between silver and space gray, placed an order for silver, but cancelled it, and ordered a space gray.

I thinking silver , I have midnight and its really nice but every time I see silver it just looks so clean and nice so I might return and get silver

Lol apple cloth struggles to get them off and back again in 5 mins anyway, it works better on iPad/iPhone glass.

Keyboard should be all coloured too like the 14”

Think I will stick with SG

The Midnight looked nice in the store, but looks like any other Dell
