Ehh….broke down and scored an iPad 9 on Monday. The only thing that could’ve possibly made me wait is if the next iteration got the same screen/panel as the Air. Otherwise, the processor and possible headphone jack changes are of no consequence (the speed/performance when web browsing and working in pages is pretty snappy, have a pair of AirPods Pro too)

Pretty big difference with A14/4GB compared to today's A13/3GB. Even the display is bigger at 10.5-inches.

You should probably avoid buying the Apple TV at any time
It has its uses, no you are not going to get the same range of features with a TV set apps. Example playing owned 4K HDR/DV iTunes movies are at a 32 Mbps peak bitrate compared to using a Apple TV plus application on your 4K TV where its more like 23 Mbps peak.

I'm in the market for the new iPad Pros when they arrive. After my last one suffered an early death, I went with an iPad Air and while it's a nice device, I do miss the 12.9" screen.

Why? I had the original hockey puck (before apps), the first app-enabled hockey puck, and now have the more recent 4K model. I love the Apple TV. Two of my TVs have Roku built in, the third has a Roku Express hooked up, and I used to have a Fire TV Stick... you might be paying a premium for the Apple products, but boy do I notice the performance differences.

Five Apple Products You Should Avoid Buying Right Now

Let's make it 6 Apple Products You Should Avoid Buying Right Now.

6) iPhone 14 and 14 Plus.

If you have an older iPhone and want/need to upgrade, save some money and just get a 13 instead. Even a gently used 13 Pro or 13 Pro Max would be a smarter buy.

Correct me if I’m wrong but, as someone who has an Apple TV 4K that works fine, doesn’t it seem a little pointless to upgrade to a new one? (Unless you’re a diehard Apple fanboy who needs to have every new product Apple releases.)

I feel like this is just Apple trying to get more people into the ecosystem.
I think you missed the point of the article. It’s not encouraging an upgrade, it’s cautioning people who might be in the market to buy.

There should be caveats to these threads. Caveat being, “if you can get these products for a good deal, buy, otherwise, don’t buy.”

For example, the M1 iPad Pro and MacBook Pros. You can get a base 14” MBP for $400-$500 off. That’s a steal and a fantastic buy. You can get the iPad Pros for $200+ off. Also a good deal. Hardware on both products is extremely good and years and years of headroom.

I've been chomping at the bit for the iPad Pro update, to replace my Mini, but with the lack of Mini LED or OLED in the 11" I pretty much have zero interest. I don't care one bit about MagSafe charging on an iPad lol to me that is pointless other than to give Apple more money and for literally no benefit. And as far as M2, the iPad / iPad OS barely takes advantage of M1 as it is. So - I'm taking a gamble and ordered the current model 11" since it has a delated shipping time (looks like a week out as of now according to my particular order). Since Apple has a policy of matching their own reduced price within 14 days, I'm hopeful I can get a partial refund once it drops in price after new ones are announced. Fingers crossed they hurry up and announce something!

For the longest time macrumors didn't split up the iMacs and only had their recommendation on one model. Now they simply don't know anything to base recommendations on. Only a M2 update for a 24" iMac a year later sounds boring. Gotta be something more worthwhile for this popular all-in-one desktop choice.

is apple having trouble putting the iphone chips in the mac pro? Can't they just put like 100 iphone chips in it and call it a day? they can call it the mac max pro s.

My post was about an Apple TV.

I dunno MR, I’ve been seeing that base 14” Pro for as low as $1499 the last thirty days and to me thats a screamer of a deal/value. Crushes getting an M2 Air IMO.

Let me know where I can find a 13 Plus at.
