The stainless steel watch feels like a "regular" watch to me. With the classic band or the Milanese Loop it is as much "jewelry" as any other watch for the same price.

Yeah, I've ordered a Milanese loop and a leather loop in the hope it might feel more high end but of course they're not available till June.

Completely agree. I returned SS and now ordered sport. I really like it but I don't absolutely love it like iPhone and I know better ones will be coming out. It's not a phone replacement it's just an accessory.

I don't particularly love my 6+, but it's immensely useful and I get great value from it.

As I posted yesterday, my Watch ends up with well over 50% battery at the end of the day because I don't really use it much.

I guess I wanted two perhaps contradictory things. I wanted an Apple Watch, but I also wanted to buy myself something special. A Sport is definitely not special, it's just an Apple Watch made of aluminium. But I'm not sure the SS is special, either. It's not jewellery and I think that's what I wanted.

Maybe you needed to buy the edition :p

A lot of people think the watch is just OK at the moment
It does have a lot of potential in the near future

Nope. A lot of people looove it and cannot imagine being without it. Just look at some of the threads here. To the OP ... the Tag can tell the time but that's about it. Comparing it to the Apple watch is comparing apples to oranges (no pun intended!) The Apple is an interactive smartwatch that makes life easier... at least for me it does. If you don't recognize that then it probably isn't for you.

Shocking and surprising as this is, I'm thinking about returning my 42mm SS WSB.

I just don't love it. And it was £519.

Anyone want to persuade me one way or another . . . ?

Oh please. Just stop. There are thousands of threads here describing the good and the bad. Every possible scenario, etc is contained in these threads.

Rather than ask people to waste their time with you, why not spend five minutes reading a few of the threads and decide for yourself. Or just ask your parents what you should do. Sorry, but this kind of childish nonsense is just getting to be over the top.

It's not a phone replacement it's just an accessory.

It was never intended to be a phone replacement. It's meant to be a watch - that's still the prime purpose of any decent smart watch, to tell the time. The notifications, apps etc, they're the "smart" factor, but they are not meant to replace your phone. They compliment it. By getting notifications to your wrist you can dismiss things after reading, without needed to pull your phone out to see you didn't need to do anything after reading that notification. The :apple: watch even lets you dictate replies to texts, which is a nice feature. But, it was never designed to replace the phone. It was designed to reduce the number of times a day you have to pull your phone out of your pocket, just to end up shoving it back in there after reading a single line of text!

I've had a Pebble for two years and I loved it, now I have the :apple: watch and I really do appreciate the little extras it brings. But mainly, I use it the same as I did my Pebble. I would happily say I love it, because I think it's a beautiful replacement for the pebble, now rather than a (rather childish looking) lump of plastic on my wrist with a plastic band, I have a crafted SS watch with a lovely loop! I must admit, the band does help, I'm glad I didn't order with the sport band and be stuck waiting for a better one!

I'm not sure what people were expecting it to do that it isn't. Apple had two press conferences, and about 10 guided tour videos. I mean, it's pretty evident what the watch is gonna do at this very moment.

I, for one, look forward to receiving my 42mm stainless steel with Milanese loop. I'm still in processing hell along with my wife's 38mm modern buckle. I feel it's a bit more special then the sport as most people bought the sport.

I, also, can not wait for the temperature to be displayed on the watch face. For me, that is gonna be amazing! As simple as that sounds, the watch is all about
convenience, and I can't wait to take advantage of that plus MORE! :)

I agree pointless thread. I don't think anybody cares if you prefer other watches....

What is it with these angry self-appointed thread police who go around telling people how much they hate their threads? What exactly is the point of their contribution?

I started the thread because I wanted to chat to people about my thoughts on sending the watch back. If you don't want to join in that conversation then walk on by. Or, as we say in Britain, jog on.

I may return mine as well. I just get too many social media messages throughout the day so I am constantly on my iPhone anyway so I don't even have a chance to just enjoy the "glancing" experience

the only feature I really use is the music control feature while I am out walking, that is great

it sucks cuz I like to have it but I can't justify the price for sth I barely use. may as well go on a vacation for that money ^^ we will see. still got a week to make up my mind

Can you imagine if the angry self-appointed thread police took over, this forum would be extremely boring with threads running in to 100s of pages

Can you imagine if we all made threads instead of reading others.... ;) Haha

It's a lot of money to spend on something that's just OK.

I had the AS queued up right until the reviews came out. I knew the watch had a long way to go. No way I wasn't going to have the 1st Apple watch. I also wasn't going to pay the SS premium faking myself out either. Get a Sport, or sell it.
