Is Moom as good as Magnet? Note that you can toss these apps in the trash cometh 10.15 release.
Or not, seeing as how I won't be updating to 10.15. If I did, I'd be tossing at least 50% of my apps in the trash, so that's not happening. (Plus I use Dashboard all the time, so 10.15 can bite me, and so can Apple, for that matter.)

Hey, that's my BTT preset! Awesome overview!

If anyone is trying out GoldenChaos-BTT and needs any help getting set up, wants to request a feature, or just has questions, I lurk on the forums so I'll keep an eye on my PMs and I'll subscribe to this thread :)

Instead of GoldenChaos for TouchBar customization I recommend pock.dev

I’ve Bern looking for customizations for the Touch Bar; will try both of these. Do you guys know if there is a way of customizing the options found in the Adobe Suite?

What’s the deal with Moom not working in 10.15? I’m presuming something to do with 64-bit. Surely it will be updated?

Note: BetterTouchTool (used for Goldenchaos) also contains all kind of window snapping and resizing options (mouse, keyboard and gesture based).

To the creators of Moom:
THANK YOU.

My window uniformity and alignment OCD itch has been scratched.

Good featured apps, MacRumours. This was enlightening overall.

MacUpdater ($9.99) - Why would you need a ten bucks app for checking updates for other apps? Pointless..

Moom ($9.99) - Too expensive.. there are cheaper alternatives, like BetterSnapTool or Magnet. Why promoting expensive stuff?

To be honest, it's a shame that Apple can't do proper window management in macOS. This is such an obvious and useful thing.. Windows can do snapping from version 7 (back in 2009)

I'm mostly a lurker on these forums, but…

I've been using Moom for years... and recently started playing with MacUpdater... Moom is a 'rock star' of an app... does what it does very well and doesn't try to be more than it is.

Moom is great

+1 for Moom. Awesome tool

Love Moom, and thanks for including some truly free apps. Always gems.

Love Moom! Been using it for years!

Another shout for Moom. Invaluable for productivity and housekeeping. Been using it for several years, and my Macs would feel lacking in core functionality without it.

…speaking as one of the abovementioned creators of Moom, thank you everyone! I'm tempted to put some of these quotes on rotation on Moom's product page. :D

Nah, don't worry. As of the current Catalina beta, there's a bit of an interference between Apple's new zoom button menu (I wonder where they got the idea?) and Moom's zoom button controls. But we're working on that, and I can promise you that one way or another, Moom will be ready by the time Catalina is officially released.

I don’t actually use many App Store applications, but still - pretty much all my applications have built-in notifications when updates are available.

Except for the command-line apps, but I doubt MacUpdater is going to tell me when Ansible or Git is out of date. :D

That is very good to hear. Without the quick, window snapping abilities of Moom, I would not have bothered installing 10.15 without at least some form of viable alternative. Moom, for me, is so integral to how I use macOS that I really would not enjoy using my Mac without it.

Thank you and keep up the good work!

Background Music distorts my audio (which I output via HDMI) as soon as I start it. It works when I switch to internal speakers. Any suggestions how to fix that?

I guess it's all a matter of preference, but I'm personally a big fan of Divvy for my window-handling needs. As long as you're evaluating, you may want to check it out, too.
Me too. I've been using it for years along with popclip. Can't work without them anymore.

I will miss Dashboard too and the fact that it's going away doesn't make me shop any faster for a newer laptop. Ditto some apps that at least so far haven't indicated they're going to be updated to work with Catalina. Gonna stick with Mojave until something besides a couple broken keys ("fixed" via use of BT magic keyboard and Karabiner) go wrong with the mid-2012 MBP I bought from Apple refurb shelves in 2016.

Moom is a great app. Haven't tried the rest of these, EasyFinder sounds useful for sure.

You'll be relieved to learn that you're guessing wrong. We didn't even know about the feature beforehand — I just stumbled upon it during my regular MacRumors browsing.

First of all, thank you for Moom. Been using it for years...

Second, now that Apple has revealed Sidecar, is it safe to say Apple is responsible for Moom having to change its beautiful grid to the angled hexagons? The Apple UI is a 100% rip-off of Moom.
