You forgot the Santa Rosa, CA store opening this Friday as well at Santa Rosa Plaza.

Wait...

Italy and Spain aren't getting the iPhone 5 next week...same with Sweden's new store not having iPhone 5 at opening.

So not really a case of opening stores the same week, but more like a staggered launch - open the stores, then they get the new phone after being open for a week.

How long will Apple take to open a retail store in Brazil?

Brazil has the sixth-biggest economy in the world.

I also understand that the Apple Store in Bromley 'The Glades' shopping centre in the UK is opening on Friday too.

ABOUT NO STORE IN VIENNA:
Highest living standard worldwide: yes.
Therefore Money availaible: yes.
Apple store: No.

Don't get it.

Able to get Viennese sales team members who are willing to jump up and down and yell, in public, at a grand opening: No.

Isn't 52 stores in one state a little excessive when there are areas of the country with NOTHING! I live in Asheville, NC. It's not like I live in Podunk, KY or somewhere in WV, Asheville is a pretty happenin' place with lots of Apple love, yet we must drive over an hour to the closest Apple Store. The two closest ones are in either Greenville, SC or Knoxville, TN, other alternatives for North Carolinians are two Charlotte stores, Raleigh, Durham, or Greensboro. 5 stores in a state with as many colleges and universities as North Carolina is outrageous!

Okay, I realize that I am probably preaching to the choir but is there somewhere you can write to make suggestions for retail locations? I know Apple has the thing on their web site where you can make hardware and software requests, what about store requests?

We're in the same situation here in your sister city in the west, Fort Collins, CO. If we had an Apple store, it would be busy constantly. We have two universities in the area and lots of rich folks who love :apple: gear. Unfortunately we have to drive all the way to Boulder or Denver for it. We are very lucky to have a local authorized retailer/repair (MacShack) that does an excellent job on computers but they don't deal in iDevices. I'd probably still take my MacBook and iMac to them but I need the :apple: store for the devices.

I agree with you about Asheville though, beautiful city, would be another great place for an iconic :apple: store. They're probably building them as fast as they can.

Did expect the latest UK Apple Store, Bromley (Kent) to be on this list.

Black boarding went up a few months ago, but the Apple logo went up last week or so.

When I called Vally Plaza in Bakersfield, I was informed by the Plaza staff that Apple was not slated to open until Saturday, Sept 22. They further explained that stores have to notify them of opening day so that security department can be mobilized. So, wazzup? Friday or Saturday opening? Apple website hasn't responded yet.

Bakersfield... right. I foresee smash and grabs a' plenty. That town is filled with shall we say... those that cannot handle their "upper" addictions.

Always said the genius bar should be an actual bar, you should be able to turn up, hand them your computer, and say "Fix my macbook, and fix me a martini while your at it!"

They don't drink martinis in Ireland.

Of course Sindelfingen, Germany, is home to Mercedes-Benz, so a lot of disposable income is available in Sindelfingen.

I am also surprised that there is no Apple Store in Vienna, Austria yet.

Finally. Bakersfield store. I was tired of going to best buy to see limited stick whenever I needed something.

Possible in Germany, possible in Austria.

The same pretty much goes for Norway as well.
4th. highest GDP per capita in the world: Yes
Booming economy: Yes
Apple Retail Store: No

Go figure!

At least the The Government Pension Fund of Norway can put some additional USD 2.000.000.000 in the bank this year due to increased Apple share value.

Why isn't there an Apple Store in my neighborhood? In fact, why doesn't a Specialist wake me up each morning with a new Apple device?

I demand attention!

apple stores opening

well, we all agree that there aren't enough apple retail stores!
i'm happy that apple technical innovations are faster than apple retail stores openings...
indeed i'm amazed when:
- i read that Apple spent 2 years to build the new Barcelona store
- i see that there are only 5 apple retail stores in only 2 cities in China

commercially, that looks like non sense...
i'd love to understand such a commercial policy!

Who's bitching? ;)
Well, some of us have more than 300 miles to the nearest Apple Store, and I do not even have a car. Afaik quite some of Apples services is not available through the internet. Like Genius Bar, Workshops and the ability to go straight home with the preferred product that day.
