Opening reception treat: Sacher Tortes shaped like iPhones...

Why no store in Vienna, Austria? There's plenty of money there.
And great musical performances!

Maybe because Apple knows that Vienna has the highest number of spys per capita vs any other city in the world? (a factoid I read when recently when planning a vacation to Vienna and Salzburg to say hello to Mozart.)

Tried to find where I read that originally. This wasn't it, but:
http://www.welt.de/english-news/article3280831/Secret-agents-flock-to-Vienna.html
'According to the expert guess, Vienna, as the spy-hub between East and West, has the highest density of agents in the world. '

And yes, I did just buy The Third Man from Amazon to watch on the flight over.

Isn't 52 stores in one state a little excessive when there are areas of the country with NOTHING! I live in Asheville, NC. It's not like I live in Podunk, KY or somewhere in WV, Asheville is a pretty happenin' place with lots of Apple love, yet we must drive over an hour to the closest Apple Store. The two closest ones are in either Greenville, SC or Knoxville, TN, other alternatives for North Carolinians are two Charlotte stores, Raleigh, Durham, or Greensboro. 5 stores in a state with as many colleges and universities as North Carolina is outrageous!

Okay, I realize that I am probably preaching to the choir but is there somewhere you can write to make suggestions for retail locations? I know Apple has the thing on their web site where you can make hardware and software requests, what about store requests?

I understand your your point, but I was getting tired of going to Fresno or Santa C for my apple treatment. Eight years man. I'm glad for the Bakersfield site.

When I called Vally Plaza in Bakersfield, I was informed by the Plaza staff that Apple was not slated to open until Saturday, Sept 22. They further explained that stores have to notify them of opening day so that security department can be mobilized. So, wazzup? Friday or Saturday opening? Apple website hasn't responded yet.

The 21st.

I thought Spain was skint :):p

Yeah it is. Fu**** Spanish government raised taxes from 18% to 21% and apple bit** raised its prices too...

For instance, the retina mbp base model costs now 2.337,00€ ($3.046,51)...

Also, network carriers in spain do not subsidy iphone. They sell you the iphone at the price of a free-unlocked one, but it is locked and they require you 1 year permanent contract in order to provide you the unlocking code...

I think apple will soonly close all its retail stores in spain... Hasta la vista :apple: podrida! :p

Bakersfield... right. I foresee smash and grabs a' plenty. That town is filled with shall we say... those that cannot handle their "upper" addictions.

They don't drink martinis in Ireland.

Not everyone in Bakersfield is this way (btw I live there)

I know it's not everyone. There are a lot of good people there. But there are also a lot of addicts in that area that prey on those good people. Several cities in California are becoming infested by this "new" epidemic. Lake Elsinore, Riverside, Pomona, Los Angeles, Bakersfield.. the list goes on and on. Not just in Cali, the problem is all over the world now because of this *one* drug. It's kind of scary. Like 28 days later, but with drug addicts instead of zombies.
