A gimped USB-C port, an overpowered CPU, and an exterior that gets stained just by touching it...

The camera is also overkill for me, why can’t I just have a simple one.

Action button sounds interesting, at least. Not worth the iPhone prices, though.

How about 5 reasons not to buy the 15 PM as well?
Yup. For example, the (apart from the 5x lens) SINGLE other alleged "improvement" on the 15P(M)'s cameras, the new lens coating, did NOT get rid of the major orbing problem. I bet it's the same as previously.

Basically, there are only software improvements, nothing in hardware. The most underwhelming update for years. Prolly the 5s -> 6 upgrade was equally bad...

I have so many other thing with USB C that my iPhone 11 is about the only thing left with lightning. That and the camera are the two major points for me. I have a pro max on preorder.
Sure it makes sense for X, 11, and 12 users. 13 owners would be borderline. I would tell all 14 owners to wait another year minimum.

Titanium frame makes the iPhone so much light on my short pocket especially gym short or light material shorts. No more pulling the short or no more worries on wardrobe malfunction possibility.

Big thanks to Apple to make the phone lighter. I am glad to get 15 Pro Max.

For me it was the fact that my battery died on my 7 year old iPhone. Could not wait till next year.
Right there with you. My iPhone X (2017) still works OK but the battery is pretty bad, I usually have to charge it 2-3 times a day and it's annoying. Same with my wife's iPhone X. I'd actually like to wait until next year but can't and trying to replace the batteries doesn't seem worth it at this point. Not that the 15 Pro Max is terrible, it'll obviously be a massive upgrade for us, but year to year it feels like not a huge update.

Now imagine a titanium small phone with the camera sensor. Would be incredible. And the asus zen phone shows you can have a 5.8’ phone with pro max battery life.

Would be my perfect iPhone.

I don’t notice the weight of a couple Lightning cables in my backpack while traveling. I’m pretty impressed if you can.
Pay attention to what he wrote. He never said anything about weight. This is the problem when people just want to post argumentative replies, they change what the person actually wrote to fit their narrative. Just stop.

Went to the Apple Store today and held the 15 Pro and Pro Max in my hand. Surprisingly, they both felt cheap to me compared to the pro models in recent years. The stainless steel somehow makes the phone feel more premium.

Really waiting to see comparable side by side photos from both of these phones indoor and outdoor before I upgrade. If the 15 PM is doing the same uncontrollable auto post processing as the 14PM is, it's a definite no from me....

Sometimes it is better to be objective. Instead of just publishing commercials for apple products, tell the truth also?
Examples, when using original apple covers not one USB C cable fits anymore. The whole to the connector is too small for the plug to fit.
Another example, when shooting in 4K 60 ProRes Log, you need to connect a external SSD. No problem? I have tried 2 diffrent SSD that both arent regonised bt the Iphone. Number 3 ( a samsung) was regonised, but after shooting for 4 minutes the samsung got so hot that you couldnt touch it anymore and stopped working!
How come Macrumors NEVER publish anything like this? While there are numorous youtube video's about this aswell?
Will that stop the payments coming in? Just wondering.

I bought the 15PM 256 and 15 Plus 128. I used them both at the same time most of Friday and Saturday. And i think Im keeping the 15 Plus. The 15PM wasnt compelling enough to keep for over $500 CAD more. This is the first time i’m choosing a non pro version over a pro since they started to make them. The 15 Plus just felt better in hand after two years of having a 13PM, and was the most noticeable weight reduction between the two. Although i did enjoy the now narrower screen on the 15PM, which is quite noticeable. My other concern was that my eyes wouldnt adapt back to 60hz scrolling and animations but it never was an issue. As much as i liked the natural titanium, the new matte black finish of the 15 Plus is underrated. The phone feels great in hand without a case and the back is almost smudge proof. Although im not a photographer by any means, i really couldn't notice much of a difference between the two cameras. The 5x zoom didnt look that great to me. The zoom was better in video than photo mode for some reason. The action button is gimmicky. I prefer to keep the mute function there and will keep using double/triple tap on back to launch my most used shortcuts. Didnt need 256gb but was cheapest choice. And what sealed the deal is that i noticed the 15+ was fairing A LOT better in battery life vs the 15PM, which was surprising. Watched a battery test on youtube to confirm it and it seems so;

I went with a 15PM coming from an 11Pro. Looking forward to better battery life and bigger screen - though this is my first “max” device, hopefully it’s a smooth transition to a bigger phone.
